    Ive had a wheelbearing collapse with little warning.

    One day the ABS light flashed for a couple of seconds then went off.

    A week later i pulled up on a 40mph road, Nipped into the shop and as i pulled away a grinding noise appeared. It had collapsed badly with no previous noises.

    Ive recovered vehicles where they have seized at speed. If your doing low speed driving you may want to risk it. On a 40mph+ road then i wouldnt.
