Parking Fine

I imagine because it is a dead end street, as you say, those lines are there to stop people parking so that others can turn their cars around at the top of the street.
i understand where your coming but we hardly (very rarely) have people turning their cars around at the end of the road0 -

You could always post the ticket on Pepipoo and see if there are any technical problems with it which would be grounds for appeal, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.
Perhaps you overlooked this addition to Aretnap's post. Pepipoo are the experts at analysing and advising on Council ticket appeals.0 -
Seriously?
Just because you don't think the lines should be there does not remove the consequences of failure to abide by them.
You do not pay for the right to park on the public highway on your street. You do not own the bit of road outside your house.0 -
Just ignore this fake PCN "Fine". Read the stickies to see why you don't have to pay it. Ignore the subsequent threats of court and bailiffs, the council are toothless in this matter.

( Well, the OP does seem to think he shouldn't have to pay for a straightforward double-yellow-line contravention

Just interested in your theory.
I just find it really annoying the day i parked my car there after a long day at work i get a fine. after getting the fine i have been there why have the council put double yellow lines there, theres no hazards or any risk and i will be speaking to the council about this.0 -
Kind of ironic that this thread is next to the present one:
