Thanks, but after going to A and Lidl with my mother, I lost the will to live!

Oh I have and lovely is not the sensation I experienced .

I was thinking of using red chilli pepper as the follow up rinse to take the edge off :).

I printed some off a couple of hours ago, but had to fiddle about to get it to work (mostly just turning stuff off and on again) ;)

I used to love supermarket shopping with mine, she had me and 4 step children to buy for and used to literally fly through the supermarket, always bought exactly the same thing regardless of price (no time to look lol). I'd follow her round swapping stuff for stuff that was on offer and we'd b!tch about how if her oh had done it he'd just come home with dohnuts crisps and nothing else. Not sure she'd have the same pace now we're all grown up though ;)

My mum is 75, and has had a stroke and has Alzheimer's…. it is a nightmare. I returned some extensive razors, and she told the SA that I had used them! It went down hill from there

Is anyone on here a HR expert? Got a question about sick pay!

It seems we have a 12 month rolling sick pay policy. I've just gone back to work following 6 months off sick. I need another operation and am likely to be off long term again, just need to know where I stand really.

If I was off 1st April - 1st October 2014 (dates not quite right, have rounded up!) does that mean my sick record wouldn't be "clear" until 1st October 2015, or is it done from the the first date of sickness if it is a lengthy one, so therefore 1st April 2015?

I get 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay, I went back just before my half pay kicked in (although that would have been made up to nearly full pay as I'm in the group insurance scheme, but thats another story). I was advised that if I went back for a minimum of 6 months before being off again, that would "reset" my sick pay and I would then be re-entitled to 6 months full pay again, but now I'm not so sure.

Just trying to make plans now ready for when I get an op date, so i know whether to get saving or not!

I think your work scheme may not compare to others. There should be somewhere you can get advice within your organisation x
PS sorry you are going to have another operation, but enjoy the time off and take care xx

Good afternoon:D (wow, two posts in one day:eek:)

My Company have the same "rolling policy" and it works like this..
I am entitled to 10 weeks (one for each year of service) full pay and 10 weeks half pay. In September 2012 I had 2 weeks off sick, so until the following September I was only entitled to 8 weeks more, Then in January 2013 I had a further 6 weeks more:eek: (I am not a sick note:eek: I had a very infected gall bladder!) so again until September 2013, I only had 2 more weeks. In July 2013 I had my gallbladder out and was off for another 2 weeks. Now I have no entitlement until September 13. When September 13 rolled round, I now have 2 weeks entitlement, then came Jan 2014 and I had my further 6 weeks back and then July 2014 I was back to my full 10 weeks entitlement.

I hope this is the answer to your question, If not I just gave you a running commentary of my medical history for nothing:rotfl::rotfl:
By the way I work for a company that a lot on here are having trouble getting cashback from:eek::eek: WH!! Although I don't think that will make any difference:)
