    Evening

Not had chance to catch up properly today so apologies if I've missed anything important.

Parents evening yesterday went well :) Mum babysat whilst we went and then offered to stay on afterwards so DH and I could go out. We stood outside the front door for a good 5 minutes trying to decide what to do before settling on Ts Extra :rotfl:
Was quite a good trip though as got DS1 a new cycle helmet - a Spiderman one RTC from £22 to £4.50, got a whole host of jam making equipment RTC and some clothes for DS1 in the sale :D

Turned into a bit of a thought provoking day though with lots of sad news. Heard of the deaths of 3 different people in their early 30s all completely unrelated :( Made me count my blessings. DS2 woke when we got home and I was very grateful to be able to hug him tight.

You probably could have explained that to her, in the right manner and with discretion and tact, as most of you people generally can. I could never say it in the right way, if I memorised it, it would come out mechanically and otherwise I'd forget and the words wouldn't come out right - or I'd feel too nervous. I wouldn't bother even raising it therefore. Again, it's always a shame as I'm right - people don't listen to right and don't take lessons from autistics. You should - I feel society is missing a great deal:

    http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-hidden-potential-of-autistic-kids/
The hidden potential of autistic people seems to fall in common areas—tasks that involve pattern recognition, logical reasoning and picking out irregularities in data or arguments. Soulieres describes working with an autistic woman in her lab who can pick out the slightest flaws in logic. "At first, we argue with her," Soulieres laughs, "but almost each time, she's right, and we're wrong."

Look, folks, folks, I'm right!:D Even managed to find my support in that last paragraph quoted there, the relevant part of which I've highlighted.

I can put it across in writing, so this thread is easy and I get the words right. Indeed, I often get the words too right (and that becomes a problem) - which leads to it being confusing for many people because of my Aspergerese preciseness in language, not the way people normally read or interpret textually-expressed ideas. I could always write a complaint letter ever easier than complaining in the face or on the telephone (I am much better on the telephone than in the face though, particularly as part of a workplace environment).

    Well that was a bargain.

Beautifully cooked steak with homemade chips, tomatoes, mushrooms and onion rings and a glass of wine x2 for £16 with Groupon

It was a pub with log fires and a lovely atmosphere.

Think we'll be trying a few more of these deals:D

I know :o We didn't fancy the pub, had already eaten and it was 8pm. The only friends we can just pop in on out of the blue were out. So we went for a mooch at Ts then went to our friends once they were home and had a cup of tea with them. Such a rock and roll life we lead :rotfl:

I was in M&S outlet today. Found lots of good stuff on the 'further reduced' rail, including a nice loungy pyjama top thing reduced to £2.49. I've just put it on........put it over my head, put my arms in and the whole thing just slipped off and headed for the floor :rotfl::rotfl:..........it's a size 22 :o:o. I swear it was on a size 10 hanger :o That'll teach me not to grab anything that's cheap without checking :rotfl::rotfl:

You could make 2 pyjama tops out of it....know anyone handy with a sewing machine? :D

 Why didn't I remember the Steam Pots?

If I had had a bigger spend shop, I would have done. They are useful for other people though or at another time for me so I was wrong(:rotfl:) previously when I suggested there was nowt good vs Waities. I was wrong previously folks, but, now, I am right!:D:rotfl::rotfl:

    Vs Waities:
    Single (comparable) Mullers
    Kitchen Towel
    Steam Pots
    Weetabix 72 (possibly)
