Afternoon all.
Has anyone just bought gc at T's and claimed the 10 off with Cos or CS? I was not keen on doing the spend 40 and get 10 back but managed to get 10pp so was ok. This time spending 50 seems too much but if I got gc, points and money off it would soften the blow. :rotfl:0 -

I notice that the seat by window is wet because the window above and in front is open and it's just poured down. I offered my seat to a woman and her son and tell them that one of the seats is wet because "some idiot left the window open".
Old woman on the seat in front of me turns round to say that "in fact the seat behind her is wet because the window in front of her is leaking one inside and is getting worse and worse". I reply that no, it is in fact because the window was open during a downpour. She turns away muttering to herself and tutting. She then slammed the window shut.
I would like to point out at this star that I in no way said anything that resembled wanting the window shut.
She got off a couple of stops later telling all and sundry that she was too stressed and blah blah blah.
Guess who the "idiot" who left the window open was:rotfl:

Did an A shop yesterday. I knew in T their aubergines were 50p, but when I did the price check, ASDA quoted T's price as £1.20! Having checked on MSM the price was displayed as £1.20 and OOS.
1 x ASDA Aubergine Loose £0.50 £1.20
However, over on T.com it's 50p and in stock.
And, if you switched to Shop at Tesco on MSM, their price is also 50p, also in stock!
Lessons please? Good job I only got 1.

So, with there being more change than average on Monday, nothing will have changed today in M then? No:mad::rotfl::rotfl:.
Price collection normally a 45-minute walk, took 2 hours!:D:rotfl::o:rotfl: It did take almost exactly that - as started at half past one hour and left the car park at half past a different hour, two hours later. These things expand!
Old El Pasos that had the £1.99 price have shot up to £3.22:eek::(:(:(. I think we may as well give up on wombles where the shopping after done after today, as I think that's putting paid to many of them. With M being generally same price and on 'everyday' offers as A, I often find it's the case that the M comp. is the nearest to A and M triggers a voucher. With the Heinz soups and 50p items:mad: losing, now this - I'm not happy as it is £2 in A (itself not a very good price compared to other similar products elsewhere I think). From this, I conclude that Mr M definitely reads this thread, as I probably came across a little too happy:o:o that M were £1.99 on Monday and thus wouldn't have lost us on wombles. I do not know if M's tactic is to try to get us to buy them in M (clearly it is to some extent as they want everyone to do all their shopping with M), but I say probably shop in Sains:eek: and benchmark them to A.
The Savers Toilet Roll appears now to have become a Double Length version at £1.95:(:mad:. The average person may think that is good, because the single length was £1 so, buying in effect the equivalent of two packs of the old ones and for 5p less alright? Absolutely and emphatically not:mad::(. The Double Length ones in T were comparing to the single length at £1 in M so, for M's product now to be one that is costing £1.95, and likely Tvs M at price match:( instead of £1.95 vs £1, makes them, in T, nearly twice the cost that they were before. I'm hoping this is an aberation in one M store and may find out later if the main store I have still has the single length Savers at £1, although I'm now running a little later than usual. It's not unknown for M to increase the size though and then charge about the same price per unit as that does see you paying more in straight money. Dusters 5 pack up to 8 pack, with price increase to match, Savers Cloths from 5s to 10s and doubled price.
On the good side, we have M Seedless Green Grapes 450g at 99p:T. It's quite simple - from memory: Green Grapes are 450g, but Red are 400g and Black are 500g.:D Only the Green ones on 99p - the others (red and black) £2 and 2 for £3.
So, might those horrid 500g Seedless Green Grapes at £1.50 in A compare to M at much cheaper price? (Watch them confine themselves to red and black:rotfl::rotfl:.) I won't bet on it:( - I note the Seedless Green Grapes returned N/A on last Wednesday's price collection and are returning that (I've seen it on wombles) on the current one. It seems the change in size in M (500g to 450g?) may have caused the APG to go N/A - great news (it really is, this time:D) when M are much more expensive (and they get only one) but doesn't help at all when they are N/A now, especially with the OEPs being £3.22 and womblees almost certain to buy those with them:mad::rotfl:.
If you are considering Seedless Green Grapes in A to compare against M at now quite a bit cheaper price, I'd say wait for wombles and see what they are doing before you try. In any event, because of the smaller size in M, if it did compare from A at 500g it would likely do so with weight adjustment up in price for M and 10% off would probably work out the same as buying them straight in M at 99p anyway. Competitor - 10% lower in size but weight adjustment and 10% cheaper = the same price in effect as the competitor anyway. I suspect you'd be doing your money and ending up paying £1.50 (vs N/A) buying them in A (you certainly would at the moment as M's offer not on till today), although it may still make 'sense' if you are paying for them with wombles.
M being at 99p on 450g Green Grapes of course means that the 900g grapes packs at £2 (in M) work out slightly more expensive. So they're very slightly not as good now.
Aunt Bessie's Large Toad in the Hole turns out to be £1.50:eek::eek: not £1.00, and it appears Spotted !!!!!! is off (probably was off on Monday) as that seems to be £1.50 now. The chocolate sponge is found, but I have a price SEL of £1.50:(. And -:mad::rotfl:, those 600g frozen pies - I thought they were just the Family Pies in the end that were on 2 for £3 in M as the 4 pack ones in A did not pick up M's mbuy. My usual stores, with their SELs and their precise location of mbuy offer labels, were inconclusive for me as to whether this was just the Family Pies on mbuy in M or was the 4 pack ones (also 600g) as well. I still haven't found any 400g pies:rotfl:. This new store today was quite more clear that it is both the Family and the 4 pack. So, :mad:4 pack pies now going to be put back on the 'buy in M' list (as they weren't comparing to mbuy price from A on the APG).
Some more 'reduced to clear' jelly pots at 20p (details to be on the list). Indeed, quite some change in M, so could this one be the glitchy price collection? Batchelor Super Noodles now on 4 for £2 btw:rotfl::rotfl:. (But don't ask which ones, as I have no information there - as that price, in itself, is not a good price (were 81p bogo'f' in T expired) and so, if needed, you'll have to work out yourselves which ones are available in M and might compare, hopefully everything:D, to 50p. Mug Shots (lots of different ones) also on 50p (straight 50p there) in M - not a good price at all - Home Bargains often 32p or thereabouts - KIV in case any change in price set-up in A (currently useless 50p:( there on msm).
I found some dog food (big bags) at £3.95; however I then discovered the RTC Turkey & Rice Sensitive (and probably Chicken & Rice Sensitive in other stores) had gone down in M to £1.85:j:j. I almost grabbed a bag off the shelf even though I have no dogs:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. That's an excellent price per unit! 2.5Kg is it - whatever it says on my M list already - I don't recall the M list currently showing as low as £1.85. (:(Maybe they will go even cheaper if we wait a little more?)
Also got to check one of the tray pack cat food in A in case that is vs M. The Oven Bottom Muffins are back as well:rotfl::rotfl:. Apparently the White Grapefruit is now no longer on mbuy anymore? So, according to me, it should work only for two days - being Tuesday (when Monday collection updated) until Thursday late morning, when today's collection is due. Though it could be a further day than that. I doubt they notice Grapefruit on 2 for whatever price it was:o:o mbuy anyway:rotfl:.
Just random there. Finally, by popular demand, I'll be putting the Bailey's Original 1L onto the list. That is £12 in M. This did not work earlier - and won't work yet as today's price collection certainly not updated into the system - I reckon it failed on the current Monday data because SELs in M were still showing full price. I think this will now work on the new collection - however no liability accepted whatsoever and completely at your own risk! If anyone tries and it fails, I will simply say you didn't wait long enough for the price data to update. It will probably be updated from about lunchtime tomorrow, but it could be that it will take longer and might have to wait until the end of the working day on Friday. Even then, no guarantees alright!:D0
