queen_of_cheap wrote: »So the bus is pretty full but there is a double seat free so I go I sit on it. I notice that the seat by window is wet because the window above and in front is open and it's just poured down. I offered my seat to a woman and her son and tell them that one of the seats is wet because "some idiot left the window open".
Old woman on the seat in front of me turns round to say that "in fact the seat behind her is wet because the window in front of her is leaking one inside and is getting worse and worse". I reply that no, it is in fact because the window was open during a downpour. She turns away muttering to herself and tutting. She then slammed the window shut.
I would like to point out at this star that I in no way said anything that resembled wanting the window shut.
She got off a couple of stops later telling all and sundry that she was too stressed and blah blah blah.
Guess who the "idiot" who left the window open was:rotfl:

My SIL has passed her phobia onto my DS. He was perfectly fine with all things creepy crawly until she came into our lives
Agreed..what harm can they do, it seems a extraordinary amount of peeps have this fear for some unknown reason!!"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Loving all the spider stories today, my Milly died a few weeks ago, she was a Chilean Rose Tararantula, we had her 6 years, the previous owner had her 7 years and she thinks it was a few years old when she got her, so we reckon she was about 15 years old which is pretty good age
There is only really one way to keep spiders out of your house and that is to get a bigger spider :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
We never had any house spiders when Milly was around, but now she has gone they have just started coming back in, to be honest I missed having all the different spiders running around the house
I have two living in my wing mirrors, one in each, I was really late for work the other day because one crawled across my windscreen and pinched a bug out of the others web, then crawled back over the wind screen, the other one came out looked about and then fixed it web, that one must be male :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
OMG@ a spider on the visor in the car,I've never thought about that before,I am scared of the big ones you get in mating season though and like many others I'm checking everywhere at night,I saw a pic with one on a toilet roll and that freaked me out.
I had a huge moth on there in the Summer and that was bad enough.
My Sis and I are scared of moths too, when we were young and they were in the Bedroom we were on the ball enough not to take my Dads word for it that he'd removed them,if we didn't see the evidence of them dead we wouldn't go to bed lol
Everyone will be checking their sun visors now before driving off!!:rotfl::rotfl:"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Interesting reading about everyone's phobias. I have a phobia of pantomime horses since one attacked me at a wine festival when I was fourteen.
OH and I just sat here doing the motions to "Is this the way to Amarillo?" in an attempt to keep warm. If we're all feeling the cold this much now, what's it going to be like when it's properly cold outside? :eek:Hope is not a strategy.0 -
