Seeing these conkers reminded me of my Brother in Denmark When he skyped me last week he told me he had been out collecting them with his two young Daughters and spent the afternoon teaching their young Danish friends how to play conkers
;)as they did not know how.He said the way it panned out a lot of them would have had bruised knuckles:eek:but thoroughly enjoyed themselves:)

True, probably 99.99% if not more a bit like 99.99% of people who have a knife in the house are not going to stab anyone ;)
But idiots have dogs/knives/bats/guns/cars etc ;)

    Good morning everyone :)
    Good morning :)

I'm puzzled as to why a few people seemed scared by my spider pic, since it's only a pic and cannot harm  Believe it or not I am scared of spiders myself and have been since around the age of 7. I'm trying to control the fear though and eventually, hopefully overcome it, since it's silly and irrational. That's why I like the transparent box as I can look at the spider knowing that it can't get to me and at the same time ask myself why I fear such a small, harmless creature  it really makes no sense.

The other thing that puzzles me about myself is that I've been trying to overcome this fear for years and a few times have almost succeeded but in times of stress I go back to being irrationally scared again  It really is frustrating as I'd like to overcome this phobia once and for all

I have no idea why I'm scared of a pic, when I was younger (early teens) I was scared of spiders but could look at pics with no issues and I loved the insect house at the zoo. My phobia seems to have got worse over the years :(

Your body was sacrificed to the gods in the biblical times

During the biblical times, you were a very honorable and noble person. Just like you are today! But during those days, most honorable men were sacrificed as a special gesture to the gods. Obviously, one day they picked you. Long story short- you were sacrificed. Look on the bright side, it rained a lot during that year!

The only good thing I have from that is rain, errrrrr :rotfl:

Pk04 I'm petrified of lightning (and I hate spiders but only certain sizes, hate it when they go scurrying :( )
My parents seem to like reminding me I wasn't when I was younger as they remember me happily running across a field in a thunderstorm. Funny as I've got older I seem to be more scared.
I'm sure it was QoC who was made to sit and watch lightning to be cured  maybe we need to get all the elite in a room with a big spider
