Boys finally in bed
Roast beef was delicious. I messed up the timing by getting distracted on here but it came out perfectly cooked
The rest of the afternoon went a bit downhill though. My bramble jelly didn't set, so it's now back in the pan and I've got the jars back in the dishwasher. Will boil it up again to slightly higher temp and try again once I've resterilised the jars. Not sure what went wrong as used my thermometer and the wrinkle test worked
Also, DH found out via FB that loads of his mates went for a night out last night but he didn't get an inviteHe's understandably upset and peed off but is now generally just in a mood. Has just chucked a load of my alcohol stash as it's out of date

Muller comp. for Morries will be full prices there at least because that - you can't see me highlight it as I don't know how to do so:o - the Strawberry version, by itself, doesn't have a Morries mbuy in the system and causes everything else to go full price:(. If only we could find the one (or ones) that pick up M 10 for £3. I don't know if that offer is one of the ones going in M tomorrow. My theory with the APG is, once it gets past a certain number, the collectors don't even bother to scan it that many times (in M) in order to pick up the mbuy as just too long-winded for them. Sadly. They take short-cuts, being normal people:(. They didn't pick up the 5 for £1 (later became 5 for 99p) on the loose oranges - who would want to stand there scanning something five times? And a further three times with a further five on each in order to complete the task. If they stood there with the Mullers, they wouldn't complete the price collection in the day. I now doubt if any Muller at all picks up 10 for £3 by itself.0 -

When I made bramble jelly I added a whole load of cooking apples (complete with peel) and it set perfectlyIn your position I suspect I would end up using gelatine!
As for your DH, does he not know that alcohol does not go out of date? Surely it simply improvesWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Sorry to hear about your DH logie...it's awful when that happens. I know there could be a simple explanation but it doesn't stop you thinking that you are deliberately being excluded:oTo do is to be. Rousseau

Evening all
Hope you're all well.
That's one shift down just 3 more to go for my 11 days off :j
Just contemplating putting a coupon shop list together for tomorrow, not sure if my brain is up to it though it's been a long day! Think I'll sleep on it instead and puts my feet up for now...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

I've now caught up with today and it looks like I got the highest score and beat you all!!:D:D:j:rotfl: I was reading a book (:o:oanother sign of my Asperger's) and it said I'd always have problems with social interaction with ordinary people - although this suggests my interaction isn't any good at all when in fact it's a lot better than that - and gave the solution as you need to be more autistic. So, that's what I've decided I'll do - the 'problem' is not that I'm not completely normal (whatever that is) but that I'm not autistic enough. I don't mean completely non-verbal, rocking around or learning disabilities - none of which I have (though I do have, very subtle, learning difficulties, of a kind - in other words working out the intention) but - while I do like to rock around the Christmas tree at Xmas parties - my 'autism' is seen as 'very mild' - but I think I need to be more autistic (in the good sense of the concept, other things that what are mentioned here)!:)
Whoops, sorry Savvy, I've just realised that could be (is) offensive (in a hole so will stop digging)"We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough

I've got some vegegel in the cupboard that was RTC in Ts last month so will chuck some in as a last resort. The pan I used earlier was a bit full so I worried about it boiling over and only just got it to the 'jam' temp on the thermometer. Have lobbed it all in my casserole pan so plenty of room this time. Fingers crossed
I think DH was just looking for an excuse to clear some space in the garage whilst he was on one  I managed to save some of it thankfully♥ Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles.... it empties today of it's strength ♥0 -

I thought the Morries prices were updated on a Wednesday and Friday Savvy. Has this changed?
