This may seem a little cruel but I used to get annoyed with my x-wife because she was very untidy so I used to put mustard in her eyes it was very effective even the judge said that just before he sent me to jailLow Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

Thank you for all your replies.
We have tried sticker charts, a tick off list for her to do when she'd done the jobs but then she started ticking them off herself randomly and got bored with it....
I think I will reintroduce it... She does like responsibility so maybe I can come up with something and some sort of reward incentive..
I'm currently using the "threat" of the black bag...:rotfl:
Lawrie28... Good point with the role model, mr monkey isn't as tidy as me, he is guilty if leaving the odd biscuit/crisp wrapper on the side instead of the bin:mad:
So now I've 3 monkeys to retrain:rotfl:
Don't feel as bad now I know I'm not the only one...
Thankyou everyone :A the elite angels to the rescue once again:):T0 -

My DD1 is just the same. She is 11 and leaves stuff everywhere.
I have stopped tidying up after her and ask her when she gets in from school to remove the items from downstairs. Also once a week on a Sunday she has to put her clothes away and anything else on her bedroom floor. I give her a time limit and if the bedroom isn't tidy then I will go and get a black sack and tell her its all going in the bin. She has always tidied up with the threat of the black sack.
DD2 on the other hand who is 6 will tidy up after herself and even whinges about how untidy her sister is. So your DS might not copy your DD.

I used to tell DS to tidy his room and after the second time in a week I would get a black binbag throw everything in it that was on the floor in DS bedroom and throw it in the wheely bin. This included clothes , Gameboys , pingers etc.
When he came home he asked where his stuff was and I smiled and said in the bin
Off he stomped to the bin and and got the bag out and put it all away
Took ages but he eventually learned and used to tidy his room :T:T0 -
Re the food budget thing- before the elite we used to spend £120-150 a month for two of us.
Now I think we probably spend £20-£30, on essentials like milk and bread and bog roll. I think we probably spend more on takeawaysI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards.
