    Is that beechgrove?

It's a shame about your circumstances :( can you do it by proxy? Get someone else to grow it for you in exchange for some or half the produce?

That's how I started off. I told my parents I was doing it to their garden and I'd get to keep some of the produce. It turned out I didn't need to keep any as I ended up with the allotment, but it's something that might be worth looking into

Yes, the Beechgrove. That's a lovely thought about proxy but i will just sit an be envious just now Thanks

I am a being a bit reminiscent just now , no idea why but when we were first married we grew lots of stuff and made jams pickles and DH made wine

Made some of Jelly's slow cooker chutney weeks a few weeks it was lovely. Left DH to make it before we went on holiday to use use the left over apples and OOD dried fruit, he adapted it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Not great but he will eat it

Making soup, and salmon mousse and a cake later, so baby steps just now

Hopefully things will look up for you soon :)

I've just put some cayenne chillies in the oven to dry out so I can get them powdered later today. Third lot of peppers in the freezer before being bagged and I've just decided that I'm going to make done apple sauce to use up the last of the apples from the morries F&V vouchers

All this to avoid ironing :rotfl::rotfl:

What do you all think of this?

DD had a call from her housemate this morning. She has been at their uni house alone over the weekend.
At 2.30 she was wakened by footsteps running up and down the hall and shouts of "police, police"
She was petrified but got up to find 4 uniformed police in the house. They had picked the locks:eek:

They said it was a crime initiative and they are doing it regularly around the area where a lot of students live.
DD's friend said she was shown proof of identity and was read the riot act for not bolting the door.

Suspicious is my middle name and I'm having to stop myself from calling the police to check this out but don't want to step on anyone's toes.....yet.

Has anyone ever heard of this type of thing happening?
