Welcome home to Skinty and to Dusty's mum, with extra calming vibes to Dusty. Patients, please be patient and look after yourselves - don't try to fly before you can flap your wings!
Valli, when my DS1 went to uni I was devastated, but got used to his absence after visiting him at half term. Perhaps you could look forward to a day trip?

I am in flying will consist of taking meds, resting, getting DS to school by train and directing DD3 and ex mil on dailies as my co ordination is way off to drive or risk messing with electrical things. Definitely over did it yesterday so must take it easy to get my wheels back on the road asap.

Hi everyone
I have just realised that when I posted last night I forgot to send big congratulations to CY's DD for doing the fun run - it sounds brilliant and I'm so pleased that she is making such a good recovery. How cute is this? I need a baby just so I can use one.. it is adorable!
Skinty behave yourself and don't overdo it today! Letting the train take the strain sounds like a good idea but keep well wrapped up - the mornings are quite chilly now, even without an easterly wind, and your metalwork will conduct the cold.
Didn't sleep too well, but at least I got ahead of myself by decorating the carrot cake last night, and the other should be a quick job. I'd made up the coffee butter icing during my baking frenzy on Thursday and put it away in the fridge, so it had gone very hard, but I left it out overnight to soften.
Three more things to add to the list I wrote last night:
- check finances
- get DH to sign DGD's card
- print out party attendees list so we know who we're expecting! RSVPs were still coming in yesterday evening, and we're now up to 40 that I know of.
Will update later... but probably not till after the party _party_0
