Cheap flight to Charlotte

Hey guys,

I was going with a friend to charlotte(North carolina) in November. The fare was £450ish for a while. Suddenly, my friend rang me in the middle of the night because he just checked skyscanner and saw it for £380. He bought his own but I was in third heaven then. Wake up to see that the fare has changed to almost £500.

Is there any hint on getting such cheap fares again?

London to Charlotte return anyone?

Cheers

maybe your friend got the last seat at that fare,
Nobody will be able to tell you if they are likely to go down again or whether they will continue to rise as airline fares go up and down constantly
Are you restricted to booking the same flights as your friend? Is that the US Airways direct flight?

Advice on Kayak this morning was "Wait, Confidence - 60% that price may drop within 7 days"

Prices vary all the time as people book or change bookings, it can also depend on the day of the week that you want to travel and the day of the week that you check the prices, sometimes even the time of day.

    There are no rules :(

The prices go up and down with US air. There is no harm in waiting. If your friend looks at the seat assignments as she has paid then you will see how many free seats left on that flight.

I just bought a ticket for my daughter to Milwaukee for next Saturday and it was as cheap as I had seen it and that was one week before departure.

Wait and watch each day. Check the US air website too as they are sometimes cheaper than the agents.

Seems nice of your friend to buy his ticket when you are supposed to be going together ???? What is you don't go now, is he going alone?
NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!

Those do tend to be the cheaper days but check the other days as well so that you are not restricting yourself, you should also think about regional airports rather than just London, you can sometimes pick up a one-stop flight from say Manchester for a lot less than a direct from London.

Not necessarily. Always check out the site you are actually purchasing from.
