"Looking forward to paying off all my debts and getting back to just being broke"

Gosh I was so tempted to re-finance one of our loans today. They have been offering me a top-up for a long time as they do but never at an interest rate as low as I already have.
However today they offered it at the same rate. Was tempted to borrow it and just pay off the loan meaning I still had one loan but less to pay per month.
The problem is I only have 2 years left on this loan and a new one would start the 5 years all over again (if I couldn't afford overpayments)
Have decided against it. Really don't want a longer potential DFD if the min payment it higher then that forces me to pay it rather than there being a chance I feel it needs spending on something else.
Got some of the kids school uniforms today slightly cheaper as I found a new supplier. woo
still need to get a few bits but trying to do it as cheap as I can get away with.
we had the saved for takeaway and I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have. it felt like such a waste of money! not planning on getting another one this month.Total Debt:

I need a little moan about OH today.
We don't have any "extra" money at the minute and nothing in savings. What we have coming in just covers regular outgoings and have no fund for things like MOT/Christmas etc.
I am currently trying to make PAD's as often as I can from any money saved form the food shop etc. Now as I've mentioned previously on here he doesn't notice how much all the little spends add up to and he has in the past wasted money on things he "needed" there and then and then has sold them for a loss as it obviously wasn't what he needed in the first place.
Well today he has decided to tell me he has borrowed £500 from a family member to buy a car that is such a bargain. My problems are:
1. He doesn't have a car license
2. He hasn't had any car lessons in the last 10+ years
3. He hasn't passed his car theory test.
Seriously..... I give up.Total Debt:

Has he actually bought the car yet? I wonder if you can talk some sense into him before he does, and give back the money on the understanding that once he's done the basic requirements he can go and get a car.0

hi roxy7699
Unfortunately yes he had already bought the car. He had mentioned the bargain he'd seen about a week before he bought it where I had questioned him on how we were going to keep a "spare" car as we had no off-the-road parking and couldn't really tax and insure something nobody was driving. I'd told him my opinion on the matter and thought that was the end of it when he said he didn't have enough money to buy it anyway.
how wrong was I eh.
he has at least booked his theory test now which is in about 4 weeks I believe!
I think it's still at the prev owners house at the minute but I don't know how long it can stay there.
Anyway......... I'm ignoring this issue for the next few days lol unless a new problem arises with regards to it.Total Debt:

Well done for getting under £14k.
At least he is making a positive step.0 -
Exactly Roxy. Am going to try and focus on that and see what happens after that.
At the moment as bills and debt repayments stand we are about £35 short this month to pay everything but will just spend less on groceries for this month to make that up as long as nothing crops up that I hadn't thought of that needs paying this month then we'll be fine.
Have ordered sim cards from sky to change our mobile contracts as at the minute we pay about £20 (which I think is still good) for 2 but we will be getting them for £10 for 2 with sky soon and no chance of going over on calls as its unlimited calls and texts. :TTotal Debt:

Well I've managed to get us back in the black for the month and we're only on the 4th of the month. Happy happy. Even managed to find an extra 60p to make an overpayment for the day
