Having a pants day today. Woke up to find my garden covered in sewage  Blocked drain and had to wait 10! hours from when I reported it for the council to come out and clean the feces and toilet roll etc from my garden and garden toys! Couldn't even do it to properly because its pitch black and all they had were little head torches!
Went into town quickly and did spend some money at a book shop that's closing down. 50% off everything using my treat money so can sit down later and relax with a book. I do have a weakness for books especially cookery books. :cool:Total Debt:

Been a week since I posted so time for an little one.
During the last week I bought some Christmas presents, started my OU course, and stripped the parlour ready to decorate (with paper bought months ago - procrastinated again)
Debts still heading in the right direction even with cristmas purchases which is a good thing. Won't post an updated total until the end of the month.
Things still to do today:
[STRIKE]Make shepherds pie for tea. (mince needs using up)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Need to go to Home Bargains[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Need to go to Tesco[/STRIKE]Total Debt:

Well OH reminded me today that his work contract runs out in November......he'll find out in a couple of weeks if they plan on extended it again or not.
To be honest its looking unlikely as everyone in his team are on short term contracts and they have been offering people to go home early as there hasn't been enough work for them. Still crossing my fingers for an extension or a permanent mind but have to be realistic.
The agency who he got this job through seem to be really quick at getting new ones for people so even if it comes to it I'm not overly stressing but its definitely something on my mind today.Total Debt:

New week, new things to do. Start as we mean to go on.
This morning I had a 'free' half hour and did try to be good. The plan was pop to see the MIL for a cuppa- but she wasn't in. So went to get credit for the electric and had to pass McDonalds. Ooops wasnt such a  as it could have been thought I managed to get away with just 99p for an apple pie. :T yum yum.
Ok to do list:
[STRIKE]YNAB - need to do this as we get money in weekly, 4 weekly and monthly[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Write cheques for nursery for DS[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Question 1c of my course[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Finish off all Q1 final draft[/STRIKE]Total Debt:

Well had to sorn OH's motorbike today it needs work on it for its next MOT. I know the tax for it isn't really much but even leaving it a month later is something back in our pockets (or should that be back to the debts).

Still managing to get some OU work fitted in here and there. Find it easier to do a bit off and on when the kids give me peace than actually scheduling time and at the moment that's working and am still on schedule. I know its only week 2 but small steps and all that. :T
All rather neutral today on the money front. Me and the kids went out for some food with my mum but as she offered to pay it was guilt free :A
DD wants cold leftover stirfry for her packed lunch tomorrow and DH is off so only 1 packed lunch needs making tonight. DD is definitely getting on the moneysaving bandwagon with me. :jTotal Debt:

Well it turns out OH's contract unfortunately is not going to be extended. I know we'll manage and he's already looking for another one so not stressing.
Getting on ok with my OU work- am getting a few moments when all I think its saying is blah blah blah but reading it over and over again seems to be helping! I will get there. It's just weird trying to get into the mindset of learning so much again. It seems to be taking up all my spare time and I'm constantly thinking about it!!
Finished wallpapering and laying a carpet down in the front room so today my plan is to put everything back. Moved everything out so that we had the space to work but now my other rooms look like bomb sites so definitely a priority this weekend.
Oooooh almost forgot got a balance text from barclaycard this morning and has now gone from the £4k bracket to the £3k one!! weirdly it felt really good to see it go under that imaginary line!!

Well i left again and am back again..... sigh....feel like a yo-yo. So sorry to you all for this backwards and forwards malarkey.
Anyway to update:
OH's job did finish but he managed to find a new one which is actually permanent instead of the short contracts he's been getting for the last few years. A little less money unfortunately but only 15 mins from home so very low travel cost!
We are due a little munchkin in 5 weeks 6 days. The other 2 were a little early so I think this one may follow suit. This will be the last one mind
Planning for a home birth this time.
Have finished my first year of the OU doing Law (well half year technically as part time) - still waiting the results of my EMA but fingers crossed i'll get my 60 credits.
The debt has NOT grown thankfully but there hasn't been much of a dent made in it either. Just been hovering around the same mark for waaaaaaay too long.
I do have savings now tho! woot! I know some feel its a bad idea to save when you have debts but I found that sometimes I need cash as an emergency. Feels better mentally than putting it on the card again.
I have been saving coins in a jar and it's full but feeling reluctant to use them..... then my jar will be empty again......I know I have to do it........I will do it...........soon......
Debating if putting things on ebay is worth it nowadays. Reading the e-bay subforum's been putting me off it with all the problems. Does anyone here have an opinion? Would only be a few little things, so worth it or not?Total Debt:

Well yesterday someone brought me round a couple of Asda receipts and I got £1.05 from them. Always a good thing! So that's now in my purse ready for the next time I go to Asda.
Got given a couple of bags of baby clothes this morning so was very grateful. Will need to go through them soon and re-donate my excess to someone else. A family member is going through IVF at the moment so waiting to see what happens after her 2ww. Fingers crossed for her :jTotal Debt:

Ok well so far today I have made my PAD of £10.26 to one of my debts. (Sky bill was less than I had budgeted so used the left over money) Not the one with the highest APR but the one I hate having the most. Will make me feel so much better when that's gone. It's actually a recurring bill thatI'm in arrears with and just want to be on an even keel with it again. I do have a monthly payment arrangement with them but would rather get rid as quick as I can. They are a horrible company to deal with! Currently stands at £162.71 but with new charges added every week. It is also my lowest debt.
In the mail today was a letter from Santander asking if I wanted a credit card. I was a good girl and have thrown the letter in the bin!!
Also a letter telling me my car insurance is due for renewal.....another job to do tomorrow. Search for a better quote.
Today's a busy day. Lots to do so cheap and cheerful poached eggs for tea. Will need to pay for a new bike battery for OH today but ideally that's all I need to spend today.
