Estate Agent Gift Ideas?

Comments

  • In a similar vain, our estate agent has been horrible - pushy on us taking an offer (phoning up me straight after wife firmly told 'em "no" to an offer), and they tried to screw us over with their solicitor "recommendation" - putting it through as two conveyancing transactions (separate purchase & sale) to maximise their referral fees - potentially earning them over £800, and upping our conveyancing fees by a similar amount if we weren't complete idiots who don't read paperwork. To add insult to injury, they're not cheap estate agents either.

Any ideas what "gifts" I could give them? I was thinking along the lines of flaming bag of dog poop, or giftwrapped box full of angry hornets.

A conscience...? Not sure how much giftwrap would be needed for that though...

Seriously, OP, I'm glad that you've had a nice experience. Maybe a nice bottle of wine/Scotch...?

I offered a bottle of champagne to our agent at Connells. He said he would prefer a letter or card from us singing his praises, as they often use them at salary review time!
