That is what I thought! I have told him to pay for it as this is his fault!
Thank you very much for your help anyway, now at least we know0 -
Who said anything about paying?
Let's see what turns up in the post first.
If we win this for you, he has to blow the whole amount they are supposedly charging on a slap up meal for you at a restaurant of your choice. If he wants to get back in your good books that is!Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. There is no company by the name of Intelligent Parking Management Limited and this bears all of the hallmarks of a shady sole trader chancing their arm under the cloak of a trading alias.
Your boyfriend’s homework for this evening is as follows:
1. Visit the Intelligent Parking Management website at http://intelligentparkingmanagement.com/ and find out the actual name and address of the person, partnership or company responsible for the operation of this business.
He will not find these details anywhere on there; it looks like the website has been created primarily as a receptacle for payments from the most gullible.
2. Find out the name of the person to whom he sent his e-mail.
He will not be able to find this either; the e-mail address is simply appeals@intelligentparkingmanagement.com.
3. Write out 100 times “I shall not fall prey to scammers ever again”
This looks like being a genuine scam (another oxymoron?). Do NOT pay.
4. Explain to you why he thought it was such a good idea to share your details with someone for whom he had no way of knowing their true identity.
There are no excuses.
5. Apply for membership of match.com
As a “Plan B” just in case you decide to dump him.0 -

But watch out for dodgy profiles.

Bluej20 you might by now realise we don't have the highest opinion of the actions of your boyfriend!
Do take heed of what Edna has to say! (Especially perhaps point 5 - that depends how forgiving you are!)Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. OMG that was stupid. But don't compound his error by either of you paying these scum! They have no postal addy for you* so they will now spam that email address.ok great thanks for your help, unfortunately my boyfriend has just told me that he sent an email to their appeal email address earlier on. He has written it indicating I was driving, although the only details they would have is my name. Now I am worried as they have my name/email address?
* a non-AOS member can't get the data from the DVLA at all. NOTHING would have followed that silly little piece of paper on the windscreen.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
