PCN Intelligent parking management

Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could give me some guidance please. I have read the threads and stickys which I think gives me the advice to wait for the notice to keeper, however the company is not an ATA parking company therefore can they get my details?

I was given a PCN by intelligent parking management as I left the premises of the pub to get some cash at 1311 and was given the notice on my car at 1313 which I thought was completely unreasonable, therefore am I right in writing a letter of complaint to the manager of the pub first?

Many thanks for your help and patience!

think you will find them on the IPC AOS page

people should ALWAYS complain to the landowner as a matter of course, but also to the PPC too, so yes wait for NTK as well
  • Sorry I still can't see them on the IPC AOS!?

This is what I was told by the appeal department of IPM.
Cost to the landowner are not a valid reason for appeal.
You must demonstrate that we (IPM) issued the ticket in error or unjustly, and that you were in fact Not parked against the rules displayed.

I will write a letter to the manager today

    thanks :-)

my thoughts were that they were SIMPLE (SIPS), but maybe not if you look on their website

either way, wait for the NTK, which may never arrive if you are correct

and try and get pictures of any signage
  • ok thanks,
I did not notice any signs but my friends have told me that there are some high up on the wall. I will go to have a look and photograph them.

Is there anything specific you would advise that I put in my letter of complaint to the manager?

  • I think you will find the manager of the pub is the one doing the tickets.

    Self ticketing commission set up.

I think you need to make it clear to the manager of the pub, that although you were observed leaving the pub it was so that you had cash to spend there!

Even if you didn't go on to spend money there, which I wouldn't in disgust at receiving a PCN, you are a genuine customer or were since you won't be back if the PCN isn't cancelled.

No offer of POPLA or IAS on website. It's a pay and if you appeal and we uphold it, we will refund your money. Yeah right!

  • that's what I thought!
What does it mean that there is no POPLA or IAS offered?
I have sent a complaint now, I will let you know what they say!

You really need to read the newbie thread where all this is explained.
POPLA/IAS are the independent second stage appeals process. We always win at POPLA and are getting better with IAS.

If a PPC does not offer POPLA or IAS, then they are not members of the two accredited trade bodies, which means it is difficult (but not necessarily impossible) to get the keepers details from the DVLA. Which of course means they can't chase you for the money as they don't know where you live.

I hope you mean you have sent the complaint to the pub.
