Congratulations on your second son.  A little late I know but only just caught up on your diary.  My son is a social worker and I am fairly confident that your parents have absolutely no case for shared custody given you have brought your older son up alone and are in a relationship with DS2s father and have a job and roof over your head. Grandparents have no automatic legal rights in Scotland or England.  Any visitation rights are decided on the childs best interests so if they are putting pressure on your DS1 and saying things like he will be living with them then this will hinder their case.  Your relationship with your mother has been problematic in the past from what I can recall.  Honestly the best thing you and your boyfriend can do is start again somewhere new and limit contact in the meantime. They sound crazy and money does not give them advantages other than lawyers will be lining their pockets.

I havent either especially when they had contact before.  Also stating my son partially lived with them... he stayed at the weekend like grandchildren are known to do when growing up, did not in any way live with them.  They have an obsession with him which is an understatement tbh.  They will not win, they have no rights and also I will not back down and give up any rights to either son.  When hes in a  loving strong house hold and with his brother they will not take that away.

So I have finally admitted back in debt a bit.  Considering been on Mat pay and sh*t tonne happening, surprised it is not more however I should have been more stringent with my money.... baby bubble eh?

I need to tackle Credit Card first which is £475.21 as that takes interest.  My PP credit is £130 at 0% and O/D is small interest so that be my next target £250.

I do work two jobs but also as I am back 53 hours a week working, I now took over bills as my boyfriend debt is currently at £10,898 so we are trying to tackle his mainly.  We want to clear this debt as will be able to save so much and free up spending for our new mortgage :).  He is clearing a £1,000 towards it each month and I send him £300-500 from my pay.  I am mostly finished with Christmas so just my nieces.

Back in the debt fighting game eh :/

    Hi all

Not much to add.  Payday for both jobs are in 13/14 days.  Will find out the amount next week :).  I will be keeping £2,200 of this.  £222.22 goes to nursery (amazing for two days a week!) and house bills.  The rest outstanding goes to JP for debt.

He has surprised me with a trip for our family to Rome in February.  It has been my dream to go there for so long its been a joke as every year my social media was at beginning this year I will go to Italy and never have... now I can say it :D Will start saving for spending money.  So happy

Morning.  I had to add £36 to my card.  I do not feel guilty.  JP card broke and hes having a really rough time and I will manage to pay it off once paid and starting to hammer surveys etc.  I dont want extra pressure on him and this soon will pass xx
