Keep in mind that the poor fella is probably feeling nervous about tomorrow night as well and may be thinking similar things as you are.
    Give things a chance eh?
At least you've got your exit strategy sorted ;)

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Yeah Abba his dad should not have entitlement to dad... sadly I am unable to comment fully as we are his dads side family (my dad and his dad are cousins) Again I cant comment because it makes me angry as a lot of people failed him and makes me at times worry for my boy since his "sperm donor" family done same to him. Difference is I wont let them in his life to let him down or know about it. I remember that was last thing he had said to me was dont let them in his life

Im in the same position with my older two as they've not had contact with their biological dad for 5 years and 8 months now  but that's his decision as when we got divorced I asked for sole custody as his job isn't stable as he's military but I did have it put in our agreement that he was to have unlimited access yet he's barely bothered with them  and neither has his family to the point abbie has officially changed her name to her stepdads when she turned 16 so their loss xx

I don't understand how anyone can walk away from their kids my parents split when i was 6 as my dad was violent then my mum used us as weapons against him even tho my dad stopped drinking to get to him......we would do moonlight flits if he tracked us down ........I didn't want that for my kids and they know that which I'm thankful for.

At the end of the day I have nothing to answer for when it comes to my kids as I'm there 24/7 for them......he's the one that has to live with his decision xx

Just wait until your son is mid 30s & you are trying to weed your massive stock of old photos down to a manageable size. So you say come look at these & you show them his nan as a young woman & recognises her & then one of the pictures has his dad in. His comment - that must be dad because he has a beard. He hasn't seen him since he was 8.

The really upsetting bit is that he was always more his dad's son than mine. His dad actually told me that he had to find another woman before he left me because his son needed a mother! It didn't take more than one visit to his then girlfriend to stop any thought of sole custody.

Luckily I was a much better mother when he wasn't around than when he was. Some men can be total *********. Please insert any word that you feel suits, personally I prefer ones beginning with b & w.

I actually "forged" birthday & Xmas cards & presents for 4 years until at 12 my son told me to stop, because he knew what I was doing, because he knew his father wasn't in contact with me, although they were good fakes.

Whatever you do, provided it is to protect your child (& doesn't involve knives obviously) is pretty much OK by me. After all we are parents and that is our job description.

Thank you for all those posts men are **** fill in what you can think. I am open with me boy and will never lie and always gave him snippets of the truths of what happens and so far his words are I am his mum and dad. He is happy with that and only asked once to see his pictures at 3 (that night I cried myself to sleep feeling a failure to him) I always give my boy the respect and will be there for him every step. Just going to be harder when hes older and finds out has 3 younger half sisters, one of which is 6 months younger than him and his twin (I snoop on fb to keep watch). Makes me sick what men can do to their kids.

Anyway date tonight and I feel flight mode. Infact to point my dream last night someone was strangling me woke up could not breath at 2am.. took ages to calm down whoever woke up with a panic attack is a first for me lol Fine now though.....

payday is in 20 days and will be halfway paid back to my mum and dad.

Also Dolly fb friends yay and also friend in common lol someone I used to work with and you work with... should not be too shocked since its same place though :P

    xx
