My mum was speaking to me this morning and stated that she would give me £10,000 of my "inheritance" early to go towards my house. TBH how many times have you saw how I have been let down by them, will believe it when I see it. I know some knew people might think I seem harsh but after last year especially I really want to do this myself and I am so close to a decent deposit as it is and carrying on like normal. See what happens. I will be saving every penny I have as normal.

13 days until payday (dragging :(!)

    Hi Monz,

I haven't been on here for ages, but just caught up on your diary and I see your now debt free - well done!
Do you have any tips/advice as I still owe quite a lot.

I think if you can get your house deposit yourself that is the best option, and if your mum does happen to give you £10,000 at any point you can hang on to it. At least then you will not end up disappointed if it doesn't happen again.

    :)
Total debt to pay: £14,071.41/ Remaining debt: £12,884.12: Amount Paid: £1,187.29

    Survey xmas 2018 savings: £10 / £150
  • I agree go ahead as if they aren't giving it you, you know only too well how quick things change. If they do then it will be an amazing bonus, but if not you'll still do it just like you did the holiday! because you're amazing :D

Stealing your idea of gift vouchers from surveys for xmas gifts, I'd rather give gift vouchers than trying to choose a gift :o x

Thanks <3 I am just gonna carry on as is and stipulate if they do they have no rights to the house and cannot have it over my head and its my house and will not get the spare keys!

Tips for me was the surveys helped a lot , to point it cleared my debt that I was very lucky in winning that money but I would have been debt free by this year anyway but was mega help and chunk to deposit. I did a post where surveys helped most though Opinion World has changed and cant get amazon vouchers right now :/

Defo hidden with vouchers also means they can pick what they would prefer also :) xx
