I know exactly what you mean, I try and explain to my OH sometimes why I am cross about something, or why I *have* to go to the PO and he just doesn't get it. Yet when he buys things he seems to expect it next day.

My OH is like that too lol. He rarely sells yet even when he buys, he expects a saturday afternoon purchase to arrive on a monday morning. I keep telling him it's people like him that worry sellers.
I moan constantly about ebay and he just switches off and tells me not to use it anymore. Yet he is forever moaning to me about his bad days at work!
Another of my favourites is him telling me to just work the hours he does so we get the rest of the time together. Yes, I tell him. That's easy. I just need to make sure buyers buy at certain times (eg 6am-1pm). How on earth can I do that when they are all buy it nows? Most of my buyers (when I have sales, they are worryingly rare these days) tend to buy late afternoon / evening!

So to sum it all up, someone who rarely uses ebay to sell is not going to understand how ebay works properly! And yet we have the worry of these buyers marking us low because they have false expectations like my OH. When I have been a business seller for nearly 6 years, you'd have thought my OH would have learnt something by now!!!

I sold something last Friday, when I went to pack it I noticed a small amount of damage that I hadn't mentioned. I sat and worried about it and in the end decided to email buyer and ask whether he wanted a refund or the item at a reduced price...and worried until he responded. My OH happily told me not to spend so much time worrying and to just send it and see what happens- arghhh

EDIT: Luckily buyer was wonderful, said the damage didn't matter at all as he was going to reuse it as something else. I sent it , gave a partial refund as well and received lovely feedback the next day.
