I've messaged Mse Andrea with relevant thread links and a brief synopsis and asked her to make the final decision, So hopefully when she has a moment she might lead us in the right direction on this.#JusticeForGrenfell0

firstly it was some years ago
secondly in the poll being referred to, one of the options was a little confusing as it stated
All comps should be on the main board, including one-day weekly comps
so anyone voting for this option could have thought they were voting for ALL comps to be on the main board?I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I think that's how it should be, ALL comps on main board, the daily, mag dailies, weekly and RC threads moved over and pinned to the top. Easy for people that use the threads and then no-one can complain about missing comps
I get it would increase what's on the main board but surely that's better than not being sure where things go and people missing comps0 -
is anyone going to make a new poll for it please ?
new postings on the thread ...
Poll: Should weekly comps be posted on the main board? (1 2)

Mse Andrea's response.
So basically we need to reword a poll, This is where I bow out as it's getting way more confusing than just plonking them all on main.
I'm happy with whatever happens.#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
One Eye gave a clear explanation of weekly comps
"Weeklies are those you enter once a week (whether they are open all week or just for one day each week).
There are two fundamental types - "Ongoing" comps that run weekly but have no overall end date, and "Standard" comps which run every week until the final known end date of the promotion. It would be much easier if we have the same posting rule irrespective of which of these two types the comp falls into."
Perhaps that could be at the top of the next poll with the question "Do you want these weekly comps to be posted on the Main board instead of the Regular board?" or something like that0 -

I'll start a new poll later but it's worth thinking about what Andrea said about having the regs board at all
We could do with some thoughts about how the dailies could be posted on the main board and how would once only email subscriptions be posted?
There wouldn't be a need for any of the stickies if everything was on the main boardI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I personally don't see the need for a regs board. Dailies etc. could be posted as normal comps on the main board with their end date then into a dedicated thread which would be stuck at the top in the useful links thread. Like they are on regs just moved onto main board. That way all comps are accessible but they are still sectioned into particular threads for people that like to enter all the dailies at once etc.
Hope that makes sense?0 -
I think dailies are best kept as they are. If they are put on the main board alone then many will miss them (end daters especially).
They'll also be bumped to the top of the board every day and I know, from reading previous threads, that'll be likely to p*** off certain members.
At least with weeklies and monthlies they can be posted as separate comps with their end date.
But, as usual, you can't make everybody happy. Whatever happens, someone somewhere will still moan! Thanks to all posters :A0
