and relax.....who on earth mentioned blocking and refusing sales ....missed that , where is it mentioned ? , if a buyer had at least 3 -4 items gone missing but refunded for in the last 6 months ,I would be a little interested in it ,if I was sending something to them ( one item over £100 )

Yes it is beyond you "why you think any seller would take the trouble to search the history of all potential buyers is beyond me " - again not potential - a buyer

Whether the seller sells a few things a month or a thousand theyre still Ebay sellers and dont deserve to get ripped off

You have mentioned quite recently in posts how you want to be able to indentify buyers you think may be less than great, why bother identifying them if your intention is not to block them from buying? does seem kinda pointless then.
Also if this type of thing was implemented do you honestly think it wont be used wholesale as i have suggested.

And like i said and from what i know and what i remember other`s saying most sellers dont bother checking fb unless they run into problem by which time its too late. They are generally too busy getting on with other things.

And where did i say sellers deserve to get ripped off,?

Thing is theres just as many bad sellers as buyers out there it just depends what side of the fence your on.

And as already been said there are many many instances where a refund is quite legitmately given and if this is highlighted as you suggest will make the buyer look iffy.
  • No its not pointless ,it gives the seller more confidence and information to present to Ebay CS if they can show that that seller or that particular postcode has had a problem with non delivery / refunds for whatever reason
As Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question ! ;)

Assuming there was such a system, who would pay to monitor whether sellers are recording the losses or claims correctly and not recording issues against buyers we just don't like. If it is done automatically, then it would need to be done via the resolution centre. Do sellers really want to force everything through there and get a defect- if it is done through the resolution centre then ebay already have that info to hand and ignore it when we raise concerns anyway.

  • Perhaps it would be automatically recorded if all the fees had to be refunded for non receipt - I just know that in the case I just went through, funnily enough the buyer recording himself within the feedback he left , helped me present the information that he had had more than a little problems with items going astray in 6 months ( ans a few partial refunds - mine included ) , which I would have had no idea about

I wanted his remarks removed as I thought they might impact on my future sales and CS.once prompted to examine them apparently thought so to
