share prices indicate profit expectations.
the trend since march has been down.
this is because investors believe the housing market in london has peaked and trading conditions for estate agents will become less profitable.
if you're not already aware share prices fluctuate on a minute by minute basis. daily movements are generally meaningless and need to be observed in the context of a weekly or monthly movement.0 -

I'd argue that weekly movements are irrelevant and monthly movements are just noise - I certainly don't believe that the movement in the price of an individual share warrants a five page discussion, most of which is just updates on the current share price.0 -

Yes you did, but who wants to play it so safe where there is no profit to be had? When savings rates were around 5 to 7% my portfolio was over 20% cash, it is only a tenth of that now.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

No, it should be about profit, but of course if you have a short term horizon like you (house deposit), then you can't (or shouldn't ) have that money in equities.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0
