Highview Scam - Scotland

I have received a charge notice form Highview, after we parked at Almondvale Shopping centre in Livingston, Scotland.
They claim there is signs displayed etc
I read through the newbies thread about this, and I think Im ok to ignore it as it's Scotland, but keep hold of the paper.
Im just double checking this is still true.
Thanks for any help.

POFA 2012 does not apply in Scotland so as long as you don't go and reply to the charge notice there is little they can do.
But be careful not to do anything which hinders your current position.
One PPC has gone so far as to wrongly issue court proceedings in England and you are very nearly a foreign country! But we won't go into that argument I think.REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0 -
Il definately NOT reply.
Just out of interest, what sort of things shouldn't I do that would hinder my position?
As for Scottish Idependence.
Even if it's a yes vote, we will still be part of the United Kingdom until at least 2016 I believe.....
Thanks for the reply.0 -

Thanks for the reply.
They could make a claim against the driver.
But they only know who the keeper is - so they write to the keeper.
The keeper is under no legal obligation to reply.
Some naieve people have been known to contact the PPC using the first person - eg "I did this and I did that, and I didn't do this etc. etc"
So do not respond in any way at all. You will get 5 or 6 letters at monthly intervals - and then they give up - unless you show that you are unsure by replying to them - in which case the letters may continue for up to a year or more.
As for Scottish Independence - you are right - the United Kingdom will continue until at least the 23rd March 2016.
After that the United Kingdom might just cease to exist.0 -
There are a few posters who run off phone the PPC, admit they were driving and doing all the wrong things.
There are strict procedures to follow in every case. Mitigation doesn't count etc.REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0 -

Cool thanks.
The driver at the time wasn't the keeper btw.0 -
