Parking eye court claim

I have just received a Northampton court letter for court proceedings against me for overstaying at a welcome break in Bristol. I live in scotland can they proceed?

    Is your address in the court papers in Scotland ?

    Have they manipulated the address in any way to make not obviously Scottish?

    So no mention of Scotland at all, yet again they issue a claim out of area, you need to defend this , so acknowledge the claim ask for 28 days, and dispute jurisdiction as county courts do not cover Scotland . Once you've done that come back here

  • How do you know they're genuine papers? Make sure the court stamp is on them, or phone the court to check it's for real.

    Have you submitted your defence yet? You are running out of time and this should be fairly straightforward. Usual defence points plus the fact you live in Scotland and contest jurisdiction and suggest that MCOL should not have been used as it's only for defendants in England/Wales.
