  • Thanks. I hadn't picked up on that one.
  • Hi guys.

    Just a wee update.

I have had 4 letters now and have not replied.

I now have a letter from DRP (debt recovery plus limited).

I take it I ignore this lot as well???

I'm guessing it's the same mob, using a different front?

Threatning court action if I don't pay etc.

I've also noticed at the bottom of the letter they are only registered in England and wales..

Easy to get worried but they are just whistling in the dark and will give up, eventually.

    Thanks again.

The scary thing is, the more people I've spoken to about this since it happened, is just how many people they have hit.

If I hadn't googled it, as I was just about to pay, I would never have known.

My google found this site, although I did know it was already here.

These parking companies must have made a fortune by now out of people who just pay straight away.

And that's their whole game plan, and exactly why they make their invoices look as closely as possible like real parking tickets. Ergo it is all a scam.

You could get the registered keeper to write one letter, denying the debt and stating that as they were not the driver they are not liable under Scottish law.

State that further letters, unless cancelling the charge, will be treated as harassment and be charged at £18 an hour plus expenses. Writing to you will be deemed acceptance of this charge.
