K750i on T Mobile dropping calls

I have a K750i from CPW on T Mobile mates rates PAYG, just for calls to OH who is on T Mobile. Trouble is, every time the phone rings, which is normally but not exclusively in the evening, the call drops just as I answer it. It then goes to voicemail (pay to access) and I end up calling OH back (more money for T Mob) so the call to me ends up costing me 15p+ instead of nothing - call back at 5p soon to go up too.

Does this sound like a phone fault or a network fault? If anyone knows about 750is doing this, please post. I am taking it back to CPW but know that they will say nowt wrong with it. It's the second red one I bought from them about 3 months ago. The first one died in a day. Are they now a bit bug-ridden?
I don't have a lot of phones lying around so hard to check the SIM in another phone to see if it's T Mobile. They say it 'could' be because their free evening calls cause a logjam in the London area.
Does anyone else on PAYG have this problem? Is there any way they can prioritise reception for contract customers (paranoia here :) ).

why don't you swap phones with your OH for a day or 2 and see if he gets the problem then you will know it's the phone or not.
Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...

i have had quite a few k750i's and none of them have dropped calls on me.

it may be a software fault, so try upgrading the firmware via SEUS and see if that helps

would that invalidate the warranty as the phone's only 3 months old?

SEUS wont invalidate the warranty as it is a service provided by SE. 3rd party reflashers such as wotanserver and davinciteam will invalidate it though
