NSD today!!
CP xxSlimming World Challenge 2017 0/30.5lb
Grocery challenge 2017 JAN: £5.56/£3500 -
Hi everyone
Went to Mr L today to get some things on offer. We bought some of the wine which is good as have had before (different budget) and DH wanted a leisure outfit for in the house when it's cold but they didn't have any
Bought three x 3 assorted peppers which look really lovely and I'm going to prep tomorrow with some onions and garlic for the freezer. I shall freeze in 4 lots to add to chilli, bolog etc when I make next monthand save some pennies. I love peppers but can't eat them raw as they fight back for hours :rotfl:
So a little spend of £3.32 and will have to go Al*i and Morrys tomorrow to get some fresh fruit and veg and packups stuff.
I'm thinking of getting a good strong electric mincer as fed up with the manual one I have that detaches itself from the worktop every couple of minutes and I finish up with mince everywhere and sore hands.
Any advice would be appreciated fellow GCers
Hope you all have a super Sunday

Did various shopping trips this morning. Spent a total of $58.13 so $1.87 left of my budget for this week.
I'd have had a bit more, but accidentally bought caffeinated coffee last week and I'm not reciting well to it. Had to spend $6.11 on decaf today.I might mix it with what's left of the caffeinated one and see if that's ok. Or i might have to throw that away.
We only had a very small shopping list for this week, but decided to stock up on essentials whilst there was a little slack in the budget.0 -
Two more NSDs to report! Still at £36 for the month0

£36.31 spent at Tesc* online ( already popped this on sig)
£2.45 in the C*-*p and £3.38 in M*rrisons
Hopefully I won't spend too much today whilst on my break from work. Someone else may be doing my shift later; so I'll go straight home after the morning shift, if so. If not, then it's three hours to kill in between (buses too infrequent to go home and back in time).GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July ££110.46/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. 3 NSDs in a row, yesterday, today and tomorrow (not going anywhere). Sun is shining so I will spend the day tidying the veg plot instead.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

Today was going to be a NSD but the need for thin paintbrushes for kitchen decorating will deny me the pleasure. I still won't spend on groceries but will take advantage of it bring a spendy day to treat DH to a drink out tonight, he works so hard and it will be good for us to have a nice little outing. It will set us back around £10 but we are so well underspent on our treats budget that I really fancy doing this for him.
I might also pop in to w8rose for any YS bargain, and for nice bread. If I get eggs and milk too I hope to make tomorrow a NSD (DH is getting his bootcamp free because of a babysitting credit I have).
Have a good dayFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
I am using my slow cooker today for the first time. I *ahem* have only had it since December 12 .... I'm making my own adaption of the hairy bikers gou lash recipe. i.e the ingredients mentioned in the book but not measured or counted and just thrown in the slow cooker. I'm hopeful that dinner will turn out ok otherwise I will probably sulk and want to order takeaway.
I've not been as organised as I would like with my shopping so I'm hopeful my slow cooker experiment is successful and then I shall probably try to make something every week. I'm not keen on leaving it on while I am at work at the moment (I know that's the idea) but hopefully I will be brave enough soon and can come home to lovely home cooked meals.0
