Has anyone out there got the name of someone high up in Customer Services as the experience my daughter has had with Tescos has been awful -
She has just moved into her own place - done first ever shop on line - was suppose to deliver last Thursday but couldn't deliver due to a mix up over postcodes (their fault so driver 20 miles away ) was told she would have to log on and re-order everything again - she ended up going to another supermarket as needed the items that day - spoke to customer services who said someone would contact her - ended up emailing them as no one called - has been told they are investigating it and up to today they are still investigating a week later and her money wil hopefully be back in her account in approx 4 days - by this time they would have had her money for 11 days. Luckily she was in a position to be able to go out and buy the shopping again but for anyone on a tight budget Tesco couldn't of cared less by the looks of things - her money is still in their account gaining interest for them - now we know what they mean by 'Every little helps'

ive had awful dealings with tesco
take valentines 2006.... me and my o/h were on very tight budget so thought little gifts, he orderd me a single long stem red rose from tesco. £8.99. it didnt come valentines day, it came the day after and it was dead. nice eh.
i complained to tesco, as i was pregnant and very hormonal and it really upset me as i thought i wasnt cared about lol.to cut a long story short, it took me marching into a tesco in person, showing them the dead flower and bursting into more hormonal tears before we even got a refund!
the manager we dealt with online had a good game of email tennis with my other half and 2 months later still hadnt even offerd an appology!
i got on the phone in the end and they refunded my o/h...eventually gave us a whole £10 voucher, about 3 months later
theyre truly awful!!:cool:minds is willing , soul remains, this woman cannot be saved ;););););););):A;);););););););)

That is really sad how they mess things up and you are right at less your daughter was capable of going to shop, when other may not be so lucky. The best think to do is to claim damages and write a letter to Tesco Recorded and ask for the refund plus the interest plus the fact that your daughter had to spend more on the shopping and maybe going out of her way to. This is covered under the Sales of Goods Act.
And Lumpy, I feel for you, did your o/h tell you that he ordered the rose from Tesco online. If I was you I would hae when overboard with the crying and see if you could have got more stuff.0 -
Here's the Managing Director himself, Sir Terry Leahy:

Hope that helps :j0 -
I've come to realise you just need to accept tesco cs are rubbish.
terry.leahy@tesco.com will either ignore you entirely or you'll get the standard, 'your matter is being dealt with' reply. (figure he's been bombarded as the addy has been posted on here a few times)
They are completly unable to answer even the simplest question, and if they do answer, they'll change their mind 5 seconds later.
When i ask instore cs i get diff answers all the time and if i ask for it in writting they sent me to online cs who give diff answers all the time, if you print the e-mail they say it's out of date if it's anything other than that days date
I know it's no practical help, but you really get what you pay for, tesco are cheap.
I'm about to go shop thou and can growl at the staff for you as i go round if it helpsDon’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.0 -
I had a grocery delivery yesterday with some items missing. Have phoned twice (last night and this morning) but they are unable to deal with my problem due to "technical difficulties"!!! Am really annoyed because one of my missing items was a packet of cookies that are my son's fave. It was his last day at primary school yesterday and they were going to be a treat for his tea!BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120

hi everyone!
im fed up to with them i brought a laptop which broke 3 weeks later. i took it back and they said it could be replaced when i looked it had been reduced. i pointed this out to the assistant she tried to give it to me at the new price but couldnt do it,. when i mentioned this to my friend at another store she said i should of had it at the new price as i had my receipt.. the same thing happened again a month later with a toaster.. when i complained to customer services they passed me on to the store and basically they didnt want to know.....so im definately not pleased ...0 -

I have an idea.... let your daughter deal with it!
And sending an email to Terry Leahy won't exactly get his direct attention.
If you speak to CS in a polite manner you should get on fine.
Please take note of the second half of my signature too.....0 -

morning everyone, i have found that when dealing with any large company, virgin, vodafone, tesco if you have exhausted all the usual complaint measures numerous calls to cust services etc, a polite letter to themanaging director, with a detailed list of dates & names of who you've already spoke to and a reference to taking it further i.e ofcom etc... usually gains quite a quick response, obviously you will never get a call from the md but one of his minions will call asap- My father wrote directly to md of tesco and ended up with free broadband for a year- but he could list dates, times & names of everyone he had dealt with previously. hope that helps.:jDuct tape is like the force. An effective tactic is to write to the MD's wife (if the MD is a man that is; this won't work the other way around) at their home address - that will get things sorted! That's what we do if someone won't pay us their debt!0
