    1) I may be wrong

    2) It appears that BBs are not issued on need but on what benefits you receive and how long your disability is likely to last

    1) yes you are , very wrong on this topic

    2) my pensioner mum who could not drive had a Blue Badge , was not on benefits of any description (an old age pension is not classed as a benefit) and had terminal throat cancer (so wasnt going to get better)

yet you refer to people like her and myself as "riff-raff" , which only proves that your head is stuck right up your own backside and like the abersoch golf club car park you cannot see the signs or wood for the "trees"

in this thread your posts are offensive, insulting and have little truth in them

You have an IQ of 128 but still can't get your head around that fact you don't need a BB for a private car park ? Wow !

You are causing offence to people by continuing to ignore what you already know, namely that you do not need to be receiving benefits of any kind to obtain a BB.
The inference is that you are calling all those with BB's 'riff raff' and is hardly helping you.

I am aware that BBs are not compulsory to park at your local Tesco. I also understand that, if you do not have a BB and park in a BB space in a private car park, you are liable to be ticketed for an alleged breach by a PPC.

I really cannot understand all of this animosity. I post a perfectly reasonable thread about the difficulty in obtaining a BB and some of you take this as a personal affront.

The fact remains that there is widespread abuse of the BB scheme

But the genuinely short term disabled are excluded.

Not always a great fan of The Deep, but if you don't need a BB for a private car prk, then why are there so many threads on here where motorists have been issued charges for parking in a disabled parking bay without displaying a BB?

And POPLA, unless i have missed something, have never upheld an appeal on the point where a motorist used the EA as a basis for appeal. In fact, the Chief Adjudicator in his latest state of the nation report states clearly that failure to provide relevant adjustments under EA is NOT a parking matter and redress can be obtained in another court.

So if The Deep parks in a disabled bay where the condition for parking is you must be a current BB holder, then he faces getting a ticket as he alludes to in his OP. His point, I believe, is that a temporary incapacity affecting mobility will not qualify for a BB and private car parks seem to use displayed evidence of a BB as being the sole criterion for permission to park in one of their wider disabled slots.

    Really ?

"It seems I have no chance. I am not on any sort of benefit"

"All I need is a temporary pass, for the odd occasion where I need to go to B&Q"

"I will not go on here about benefit bludgers with blue badges for bad backs, I am sure you all know my views on these riff raff"

"To add insult to injury, if I put in a temporary stair lift I shall probably have to pay vat on it. GRRRR"

" aka !!!!less workshy people who stay at home all day"

"It appears that BBs are not issued on need but on what benefits you receive "

"IQ 128 so probably a no"

    "Run a successful property company"

"I do not give a ratsarse what others say"

    "!!!!less work shy dole bludger"

When you using insulting, arrogant and generalised statements like the above you should expect some kick back. I'm sure, as someone that ended up on the 'dole' ( and that shows how out of touch you are ) for 5 months this year you'll cast the last insult at me.

You can't see how your posts come over in general - i.e. the look at me, look how successful I am, my kids went to Charterhouse you know - and how unsympathetic you often are to other posters yet you wonder about the responce you get to a whinging thread like this one ?

Agreed, he'd get an unenforceable invoice which he knows full well how to deal with. To blame his inability to get a BB ( and as yet it would appear he hasn't made much effort to get one ) for him not being able to park near the doors at B&Q is weak.

Oh dear more misinformation, read carefully what I wrote.

I will not insult you for being on the dole, my son-in-law has not had a full time job for 15 months, but I will mark you down for not reading posts properly.
