However if there was a public access area you think there would be some CCTV.
Yea, I added some more onto my post, marlie!
There will be CCTV somewhere and potentially enough to implicate someone. I would be more concerned about being stolen from rather than claiming against Argos (unless of course the OP is trying it on which we'll never be able to rule out)0 -
You've kinda admitted that it was delivered to your WORK so as such I can't really see why it has gone from a secure (ie your work) location to a public location.
It's possible the OP works in a public facing job. Library, shop, cafe etc.the employee(s) who have shown what would be construed as misconduct (or even gross misconduct)?
I think it would be a very harsh employer who would consider it (gross) misconduct in this situation when it isn't really a work related issue, save for the fact it was delivered there. Unless of course, the employee who signed for it has stolen it.0 -

I was going to say some workplaces don't like you getting mail sent to the workplace, and consider it own risk.
Plus, is it really the receptionists/admins job to look after other peoples post? Maybe they put it somewhere hidden but a thief still stole it, such as on a desk in sight of a customer (aka they didnt just leave it on the service desk or on a customer chair, as that would look unprofessional and odd)
Anyway, whatever happened its a police matter. If you want you item, contact the police.0
