I once stumbled across some sort of one day sale, possibly earlier this year- there were some very good bargains. Worth remembering to log in on the 11th just in case.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just an update on the sale, it is the same as the flash one I came across earlier this year and there may well be some real bargains.
The trick is to spend today browsing the categories you usually buy from , you can search within that category for sale items, and it shows the various discounts, some up to 50% off. Add the items to your basket but don't buy until tomorrow when the discount is applied.
The best thing for me is that some of the discounted prices bring the things I buy below the threshold for attracting duty and tax, so I can buy in slightly larger amounts to get a bulk discount, but still not have to worry about additional charges.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. My stuff is arriving daily now which is exciting... This week, a pack of 3 ultra powerful bike lights, can also be used as torches, adjustable focus. £9.48 all three.
A small handsfree phone kit, yet to have time to play with it.
Today 3 jersey tops, bought them before, the wife likes them for work £4.65 each new and tagged, Primark prices but much better quality.
Only think annoying about Aliexpress is you buy something and the seller proves to be reliable but you go back for more and they don't sell it any more or have left. You can always find the same thing again on there but have to take the slight chance on another seller.0 -

A word or two about tracking items. Generally don't get too worried, cheap post means hit and miss tracking, it still usually gets here. The important thing is to ensure the seller has dispatched the item or you may need to chase them, they usually get on with it if you nudge them via the message box available when you view the specific purchase information.
A tracking number on the Aliexpress order is not proof its on its way, only that the seller has entered the number on the label they stuck on, you really want to see it on its way in the postal tracking - but note it can take several days for the post site to show the item is in the system so I usually wait at least 5 days before sending the seller a friendly message asking if the item has been sent yet.
Most item come by China Post this is the tracking page:
http://intmail.183.com.cn/icc-itemtraceen.jsp
I like this one better, it takes the information from above and defines it more detail it also works with virtually all other carriers the sellers use.
http://track-chinapost.com/
When I have a lot of items ordered I cut and paste the tracking numbers into a little text file in Notepad and keep it on my PC desktop. I then copy and paste them into this site and it tracks all of them at once. Just click on the big Blue box in the middle and paste the list into the new window then click track. Again it automatically handles all the couriers used.
http://www.17track.net/en/
On the final leg you may see the item on Royal Mail but often not until after its delivered.
https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item
These are supposedly definitions in China Post for different types of tracking code prefix, how much difference it makes? who knows!
RB Registered Business Letter
RC Registered Business Letter with declared value
RE Economic Registered
RH Registered with receipt warning
RI Priority registered
RL Logic Registered
RP Prepaid letter for subscribers
RR Registered business letter without declared value
RZ Urgent registered
RT is Registered Mail with Tracking.
Depending on what you buy don't be surprised if the seller uses an unexpected courier, China Post is the most common but they won't carry items with Lithium batteries in like tablets or phones but Sweden Post will so they will use them instead. Otherwise the seller is gambling the item won't get returned to them.0
