Vodafone fraud Department Contact

Hi,

My flat mate has been the victim of some mobile fraud.

Back in the summer someone took out a contact in his name with Vodafone.

He called them and informed them this was fraud.

They have now passed it to a debt collection agency who are starting to get nasty.

He has called them again and told them this is fraud...unfortunately he is unable to answer the security question(s) as it's not his account.

He's been promised a calls back that have never materialised.

He's now just had another letter, does anyone know how to speak to the Vodafone fraud team to stop this?

Rob

The only people capable of listening and doing something useful in this dreadful company are their web reps.

Wait until they reply to this thread or contact them proactively with a link to this thread as they advise:
...email me with your details via the link in our profile here so I can get things looked into further.

All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me, quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line.

Once sent, you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Post back with this and I’ll check I've received it.

    Kind regards,

    Lee

If they don't help, I would pay the amount demanded by the DCA and then sue Vodafone via the small claims court for this amount plus compensation for stress and inconvenience they caused (plus correcting the libelous reports that they routinely submitted to CRA(s)).

Fraud teams are normally non customer facing. Its unlikey he will get a number to call

Contact the police and get a crime ref and give that to vodafone via normal customer services. At the moment vodafone may not know if its a 'real fraud' or someone claiming it as such especially as the security questions cant be answered.

You may also want to consider how someone got enough details to take the contract out and consider what else may have been done. It may be worth getting a credit report to see if other contract have been taken out too.

Good advice, except I wouldn't be just giving the info to CS, I would suggest writing a letter and sending it by Recorded Delivery to Vodafone Head Office address and marking it FAO Fraud Manager.

The OPs friend should have done that long before it ended up with a DCA.
