Is it getting harder to win??

Compared to last year, I've been lucky to win once a month...0

I've never been one to win lots of prizes. Maybe 4 at the most per month. This year has been comparable to last year in numbers, but they have been smaller prizes. I won a fair amount of prizes over £200 last year with some pretty big wins, but this year it's not been as good.
A win is a win though so we can't really complain!0 -
I don't know about hard to win prizes but I'm pretty sick of entering JUDGED effort prizes by companies who clearly don't give a damn and break their own rules.
Feeling bitter right now as I done a Lands End competition where I actually put a lot of creative effort in and made a nice Denim Mood Board knowing it was judged. They announce the winners today and not to be offensive but how they were judged better than mine was beyond me. One person had put one Denim item on their whole board.
And then Currys were doing a "JUDGED" Pinterest comp based on creativity. I spent ages on photoshop creating pictures for my board, made it all Purple to match their own pictures. They announce 7 Winners today and their boards are terrible. One guy only put about 5 random pictures on it, and this was supposed to be judged on creativity....... They also stated on terms that it ended at 11:59pm tonight so people could still enter today. Yet they announced all their winners 3 hours ago ruling out anyone who planned on entering tonight.
These companies are pathetic.0 -
I was going to post something like this, I had a 3 week dry spell and it was disheartening not winning with all the effort i put in. Yesterday i won twice and today i won a kettle so this has given me the push to carry on. All i can say is do not give up.Jan Wins: .0

It's just your luck really. I remember seeing something on tv about this man known as 'The King of Comping' who entered competitions at every opportunity, had been doing it for many years, even before the internet was around. One year he won nothing but a box of chocolates, however the following year he won a yacht!WINS

I know what you mean snizza I have done a few caption ones or write a funny story or rhyme and have written really good funny rhymes. Then the prize goes to someone who writes one line!!0

WOW - the terminally easily offended are well out in force today and a comment has been removed - touched a nerve perhaps0

I find it massively disrespectful San. I know compings a Hobbie but I take time out to follow their terms and conditions, expecting them to live up to them. A couple of the boards that won with Currys were nice, I could happily hold my hand up and say yes, well done you deserved to win. 5 of them were not very creative at all but what really annoyed me and no offence to the person who owns the board at all.

A creatively judged effort.
And this is my board, whether it's great or not I think you can clearly see I put creativity and effort into making them pictures myself.

It's hard to swallow when companies do things like this.0 -
I've got the same problem! I can't complain really as I was really blessed at the start of the year by winning 2 weekends away and a handful of smaller but good prizes but since May it's been utterly quiet except for a deodorant that I'm waiting on delivery for.
I can only put it down to more people knowing about competitions, probably my fault for telling all my friends. lol.:jGoals for 2015:jWin £2015 in 2015: £304.08/£2015Reach goal for house depositReach 11st (4.5lbs to go)0 -
