  • Sorry I overlooked the fact that flexi wasn't available yet! The dates in July we are looking are about £100pp rtn plus baggage therefore the extras (£36 for a hold bag) would make it worth it?

I doubt it, if you look at the flights up to March standard fares are £45-£50 each way flexi are £150-£180 each way. I think the days of cheap flexi fares are over.

But if you think it's worth the gamble go for it. I'd rather have my flights booked at a reasonable price and juggle the luggage.

Just to update this thread, as some of the information posted above is incorrect.

    The loophole does still exist.

Yesterday I wanted to book a flight Reykjavik - London for this coming Monday, the price for standard fare was around €150 with no add-ons. I was able to book a flexi flight for Saturday instead for €96. 24 hours later I changed the date to Monday with no penalty. The Monday flight at the time of booking had 16 seats still available, so I decided the chance of it selling out within 24 hours was low - but that was the risk I took.
  • I plan to go to Portugal at the end of October with husband and child. The prices are extremely expensive (over £600) so I looked at 3 weeks later with Flexifare prices & it is almost ha
    F the price!!
We plan going away on a Sat until Thursday. Does anyone know if I can book any days with Flexifare or does it have to specifically be a Saturday & Thursday?

The Flexi fare can only be changed to a date up to seven days earlier than the original (or up to 21 days later). The day of the week is not relevant.

Thank you clarifying - I now understand the dates. Thank you for your help :)
