    The tablet doesnt have a name or make on it so imnot worry anymore im just going to refer it back to the person who bought it and let them sort it.

    Does this not depend on the tablet? I have (i believe) a generic tablet with jelly bean on - and couldnt find a kitkat rom for it (it's a disgo 9000) spent a while looking about 6 months ago, but admit I haven't looked since then.
