Henry every time..... brilliant little workhorse, which is why bulders use them.
They go on and on and on and do a brilliant job.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Nothing better than a Henry! Just bought one for my other half and it knocks the socks off of the 1600W (1000W more than Henry) Panasonic cyclonic we had. It also only cost £80 (on offer)!0

There was a change in the law last week wasn't there.
I wonder what they'll do with all the old stock if they're not allowed to sell them ?Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

They are allowed to sell them, the new law prevents the manufacturing of, or the importation of devices over 1600W.0

Never had a Henry before but I know they are highly thought of. Are they any good on carpet though or is an upright with a beater bar better?0

I have the Henry Extra because we have a cat. It has a brush on the head which picks hairs up.
The normal henry just adapts its self to carpet or wood etc.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

The Henry I bought has been good with our cat hair problem, but if I ever find it a problem I'll just get the head with the beater bar.
The thing I like most about our Henry is how quiet it is, I can actually talk to my OH while she is hoovering! The old Panasonic made so much noise!0 -

Yes ive heard henrys are good0 -
I would rather dig a hole than use a Henry as using one is similar to digging a hole, they are hard work. Sebo upright if you have carpets and like all up rights it beats the carpets .Henry cleaner used to be in my office as thats what they are mainly bought for Offices and shops.0

Basics-do you want an upright or a cylinder model? For carpets or hard floors? Budget-a decent new vac will cost you £250+.
If an upright, get a recon Dyson DC07 or DC14 (with a clutch if hard floors). £100 to £120.
Avoid cheap supermarket brands under £100 like the plague. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
