Parcel2Go and YODEL Terrible Service

  • But it is their responsibility.

I sent five parcels out with P2G, they were all late being delivered, two went missing for a week and one was delivered to the wrong address and I had to get the police involved.

At my work address I have never received a parcel via Yodel, they are completely useless. It's got now that if I buy anything on fleabay that I need urgently I ask the seller what parcel company they use, any hint of P2G, Yodel or Citylink and I buy elsewhere.
  • I have posted 100+ items using parcels2go and the various curriers on there (mainly Hermes and yodel) and have not have a problem with any of the deliveries or pickups to date even some deliveries being delivered much quicker than the rate I paid for! Top quality site.

How does a courier even manage to lose a parcel though.

It goes from collection to van to depot to van to depot to van to delivered - how can they lose it - what, does it get sucked up by a black hole.

I'm really not interested in how much I paid or how courier companies operate. This is a service they provide, they have been negligent in losing the parcel so I should be compensated accordingly. Let me just state again, their negligence, ther responsibility.

  • Yes, for the £29 declared value and compensation level you took out, plus the cost of the service.
You won't win this, I've been there. You're only covered for £29, take it as far as you like but you're wasting your time.

    Completely incorrect.

If you send an item worth £1 and another worth £1million, would you expect to pay the same for both? The risk to the courier company is far greater for the £1m item, so it needs to be priced accordingly.

If you choose to send the £1m item with no compensation, you'll save on the courier cost but you take the risk of loss on yourself.

    You gambled and lost.

    Usually by misrouting it.
  • Terrible service. Late delivery. Terrible customer service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Basically their website lies. I chose a 'next day delivery' option. Their website said the parcel would be delivered on a specific day. I believed this. My parcel was finally delivered 3 days later.

I contacted their website to complain (you have to use LiveChat, there's no other way I could find to contact them). They are very rude to me and tell me that next day delivery doesn't actually mean next day delivery, it's more of a guideline. So when their website says in big letters 'your parcel will be delivered on Tuesday' it actually means nothing. It's not even as if my parcel was going to a far away hard to reach location either. It was going from London to Hull. Ridiculous. I feel lied to.

I will NEVER be using this company again.

Now when you say you bought next day.
Did you by a service that guaranteed next day delivery?

When you buy a packet of something, do you always buy one that says it is guaranteed to contain what it says it will contain? rolleyes.gif

Why should carriers be allowed to mislead their customers by plastering 'next day' all over their adverts when it is, apparently, meaningless?
