Which is a bit !!!!!! really .. shouldn't they just man up and pay what they're asked to pay (legally) for THEIR children? I can't believe men stop working so they don't have to pay! how sad!

They are paying what they are asked to pay, as are you - you legally have nothing to pay if not working.

I believe you should morally be paying anyway - you could be claiming JSA (since you have only been unemployed since July I think), then you are entitled to 6 months JSA, and your son is entitled to the £5/£7 a week.

Maybe you should just woman up and pay?
