Morning everyone
Birthday wishes to those celebrating a birthday, hope you have a great day x
Hugs and get well wishes to those that want/need them.
Now light, dull and very overcast here. DS1 to put washing on the line when he gets up.
DH up and gone to work stupid early.
Dinner last night was a naughty takeaway – which was ok but both DH and myself now remember why we don’t order them very often as he had raging indigestion for several hours afterwards and I just felt a bit bleurgh… more to do with the fact I ate more than I should and I just don’t really eat that much any more ……….. definite lesson learned, it’s too much money also! Dinner tonight is chicken and ham kievs, chips, beans and salad for the menfolk. I’ll be having the remaining salmon with jacket potato and green beans – nice easy dinner.
Big news in our house, DS1 got a job yesterday and starts on Tuesday, we’re so pleased for him, as we’re very aware of difficult it is out there for the youngsters.
On-line order arrived yesterday and I had a couple of substitutions but nothing too major – now have some really good stocks so hoping it won’t be as much for a couple of weeks so that it evens the cost out a bit.
Will sit today and do a menu plan for the next week. Things now starting to get back in to a more normal routine – DS2 has gone back to school today, and then DS1 starting work on Tuesday – the only difference at the moment is myself being home and a bit immobile, but hoping the remaining weeks don’t drag too much!
Won’t be doing the normal heading in to town etc as I can’t at the moment – so will be trying to fill my days with something other than the horrendous day time tv! – what a load ……!
I’m now going to do my payment a day – just a very small token amount as each little amount is a step closer to getting everything cleared.
Have a good Friday everyone x
Take care x
Keep safe and well x

Hello x
Sorry not to have posted for a while - been a bit down - days are very much the same and rather boring.
Im putting off my latest operation for as long as possible. I still need time to recover and to be honest Im very scared after my last admission. So Im sticking my head in the sand (a good tactic my father has perfected) and just plodding on!
Julie - both my sons have come home from Reading with Swamp Fever - no sympathy from me - both have hacking coughs and colds:eek::eek::eek:
Hugs for a good OS day xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Hester - how do you make the flavoured vodkas? I would like to make DH some for Christmas but want to do something like grapefruit. I also wanted to ask if you have any pictures of your quilts and if you sew them by hand or machine. How's work going since you have been back?
Molly and hilstep - so lovely so "see" you both x
DH is out at an international training event on Sunday so am going to make the most of my 100 free listings on ebay and hope our crap is someone else's treasure :rotfl:LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Good Morning everyone, dull and grey here today but still strangely warm which made it difficult sleeping last night. I subsequently must have fallen asleep at 6 o clock ish and didn't wake until 7.45 which has left me muzzy!!!
Off to town to do a top up shop today as He Who Knows is off to DD1 tomorrow until Monday to help her out with a few things and the Dockling and I will be on our own again. At least it means I can have some chicken for my lunch on Sunday which is something he really dislikes so we don't normally eat it.
MOLLY lovie, it must be so hard to continually have treatment that is uncomfortable and disruptive hanging over you, you're doing better than you think pet and you have a core of inner strength or you wouldn't have the guts to keep on keeping on, all respect to you girlie because even though it's darned tough, you still do it, you're a good 'un!!!
Hope you all have a good day with some sunshine of one kind or another in it to make you happy, Lyn xxx.0 -
Thank you Mrs LW - you have summed it up perfectly in that I am really fed up of repeated operations and periods of illness in hospital. That coupled with my parent's situation - well life feels difficult. Thankyou for your kind comments xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Morning all
Not been on for a couple of days , life is so busy, sorting the DDs for uni tru sorry I missed your question the other day , they both go in 2 weeks . We are away next week so preparing for that too.Sorting out shopping lists for them as we will shopping for 3 households instead of one , which will triple the cost.
I'm taking dd2 into town this morning to open a student account and will nip to the supermarket and bee and em on the way back , I need to get her kitchen stuff , pots and pans , tea towels etc
Need to tidy up a bit although it's not too bad as I whizzed through the house yesterday., cleaned the bathroom and did the washing, I'm trying to do a redruby and not iron as I spend a ridiculous amount of time ironing .,I have cut it down to just a few items :j
Have a good day everyone (((hugs))) to all who need xx0 -

Molly - I really understand these feelings, I am so sick of my illness, I just want someone to wave a wand and it all to go away. I have to make a decision in the next few weeks whether to start a new treatment which would hopefully work but is incredibly toxic with horrible side effects. The idea is that I take it as long as I can tolerate the side effects, then have a break and start again when I feel better but this would be for life. But then I would not need surgery again so it's a tough call.
I wish I would wave a wand for you, please take care.

Morning all,
((((hugs)))) to Molly, hilstep and TTFTM. Thinking of you.
I'm off down to see Mom in a minute. Its always a painful visit for me in more ways than one. Feelings of guilt because I don't want to go, feelings of duty cause I really ought to go and feelings of unworthiness that are relived every time I see her.
Hubby has made the final decision over changing utility suppliers and wants to go ahead. I do hope the changeover goes without a hitch as i'll get blamed for talking him into it if it doesn't.
I have lots of laundry to do but it will have to wait till I get back. Since coming back from the caravan my routine for laundering the bedding has moved to Friday and I'm inundated with towels too. I'll get through it all eventually.
Not much else to add really,
Onwards and forwards with a kick up the bum,

Morning all,
Got the heavy fog here today, it's clearer in the city than it was in my village where I needed the fog lights on, couldn't see the end of the road!
Had a treasure hunt last night with a group I'm part of, was good fun but more importantly we won!! There was a prize for each member of the team so we all picekd a ticket out the bucket, was absolutely gutted as the top prize was return flights to London for two and a stay at the Thistle in Marble Arch and I didn't get itbut I did get lunch for four including wine at a local restuarant so not a terrible prize. My friend who I was with actually knows the owner and is going to see if we can 'transfer' it to tea for two so I can go with the BF without us needing to take days off work as it's Tues-Fri.
I have a mini dinner party at mine tonight, I've invited a good friend, her DH and DS to eat with me and the BF. It's the first time they've met so I'm a bit nervous haha Put the ingredients for bolognese into the SC this morning so I can play hostess when I get home rather than chef.
Car is in for it's service tomorrow morning so will be spending the morning in town, my mum and nephew might be popping up to visit so hoping to take them to the grand finale of the Wild Wolphin hunt. They have all 50 dolphins in the quadrangle of the council buildings, I'm quite excited to see them all but a bit sad that they're all being auctioned next week and potentially won't see them again. No idea if this link will work..

Hope you're all well, hugs to those who need/want them
