6 metres?! Pffft, I regularly walk 1.6 miles with my ASDA shopping, even though more often than not my car is only 3 metres from my front door :p

As currently has been pointed out you don't have a right to the parking outside your house but all is not lost.

"I wish to park my ford "

You need to upgrade your car and that will give you the rights you require plus additional rights.

    BMW
    AUDI (Certain Models)
    Mercede's
    and Premium Italian brands

You will also gain sole rights to the outside lane on the motorway and access to new social circles etc. In all honesty it could change your life. You have the wrong car for your desires and understanding of life.

That's all very well, but none of the cars listed above are fitted with indicators.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

unless you have a dropped kerb its unlikely you can do anything to enforce "your right". Parking wars in an age of multi-car ownership has killed that civic duty of parking in front of one's own property, where it ever did exsit

I do not consider that where I am going or what I am doing to be anyone else's business. I did not buy that sort of car to go with the flow or be followed by the herd.
  • You can get those "polite notice, no parking" signs which you could put on your wall. As the other posts have said, you've no right to enforce it as such, but it would let any parkers know that you'd prefer them to be elsewhere.

I am lazy though... I would drive to the corner shop if I could :)

Does a lack of reply from Paul55555 mean he's probably sitting in his car, in the road, outside his house making sure he keeps his 'spot'?

But its a fact of life in thousands of residential streets in the UK, mainly streets of terraced houses.
