I am merely pointing out that you chose to be sarcastic, And yes I couldn't give a hoot if like me or not as I shall not lose any sleep over it.
There are two parts in my post that you chose to jump on and they make it ever so clear that it would be worse case scenario therefore your reason for posting the comment you did was clearly to create an issue.0 -

No, not at all.
People in general, and OP in particular, may not be well acquainted with due process, and assume the creditor can do this kind of thing as and when they choose, without going through the formal court process.
Experience has shown me, a lot of people are unaware of how courts, and debt collection in general, actually works.
People can jump to all kinds of conclusions, especially if they are already been harassed, so I thought it important to make the distinction.
It was not my intention to create "an issue" with you, or be "sarcastic", that is not what I give up my time and energy for.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Stevie, Sourcrates is OK, sometimes we read too much into postings.
Back on topic, I've always ignored Payplan. They keep telling me you shouldn't pay token payments for more than 6 months (who says?). They keep asking for reviews. I ignore and they give up in the end and send in the old figures. If they do kick off I'll take it on myself. Not massively impressed with them I must say. But it works for now.0 -
The reason Payplan now ask for payslips or bank statements for your annual review is because they are now regulated by the FCA, and as part of their regulation they have to be seen to be verifying income their clients tell them. It's also a duty of care to help their clients get debt free faster. It's not to sell you anything (they do not cross sell anymore as part of their regulations) and it's not to force you to pay more into your plan.
If you refuse to send these documents, for whatever reason, it won't damage your plan, and they won't stop helping you. It's just something that they have to be seen to be asking for that's all.
