Payplan asking for bank statements and payslips

Slightly off topic, where is the hole in your water cylinder ? is it a leaking joint or a hole in the actual cylinder ?
I only ask as its winter now and wonder how you manage without hot water ?
A new copper cylinder at a DIY place is around £100 you know :
http://www.heatandplumb.com/acatalog/Telford_Standard_Direct_Copper_Vented_Cylinder_700mm_x_300mm_43_Litres.html?utm_source=ProductSearch&utm_medium=GoogleBase
And you would get money back in scrap value from your old one.
A competent DIY`er can easily fit it, but a plumber/heating engineer would charge a few hundred.
If your spending 9 grand a year on commuting, I think you should sort the water cylinder before paying any more debt to be honest, stuff the creditors.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I had the same email too. I have no intention of sending them payslips , bank statements or mortgage statements. This is my personal information. They already have my income & expenditure statements. I suspect they want this extra info to try and sell some of their other financial services to us. Don't send them, I'm not0 -

Since last year, I believe, they have stopped selling additional services such as insurances, and other financial products, and now just concentrate on the debt repayment market.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Can they stop doing our dmp ? if we don't give them what they want. We have come so far .Proud to be No. 61 in the DMP mutual support group.0 -
Payplan are good, but they are not the reason for your progress so far, you are. You are perfectly within your rights to manage this all yourself. Since you have standing agreements with your creditors, the rest is frankly irrelevant to the process.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

I doubt it very much, if they do go self managed anyway, just as easy to do. Set up standing orders yourself to your creditors0 -
This wouldn't be a big deal to me in the slightest, if I need help I would welcome being asked for bank statements in order to gain the help, after all it's something you need to provide in some food banks and IF you go broke.
Couldn't get a commuters job easily these days :cool:0 -
Hi,
Just wondered if anybody could help? Stumbled across this thread whilst looking for advice on this topic. I've just been asked for the same information as I'm due my annual review and am in a similar position to the one described by the OP on the thread - i.e my wages have increased considerably over the past few years (an increase of several hundred pounds a month which payplan are not aware of) , but the extra money is being swallowed up on much needed house repairs (not cosmetic but necessary to stop further damage - the roof is leaking, the boiler broke down, the windows are rotting etc) and my partner's wages have decreased (although he is not in the DMP). I don't have subscription TV, I don't drive, we don't ever go on holiday (anywhere), and I have about £20 to spend on myself each month if I'm lucky! I'm really panicking about this as I don't want to disclose this to payplan so wondered how some of those commenting on this thread got on with them? Did you supply them with the information they requested, did they continue to ask for it? What was the outcome if you explained the current situation?
Any advice would be gratefully received, thanks0
