    TM,
Also make sure you dont have a leak letting water go inside the wall cavity, as the flys can breed there too. I had a bad spell of them before I ripped my shower out to re-do it and re-waterproof it.

I had bigger flies than TM when a rat had got into and died in our roof.

Was the one time I was pleased our bathroom was not decorated because if there had not been gaps between the ceiling and walls then the flies would not have been able to fly. :o

Just had to wait for them all to hatch, Mr TS cleared the carcass and best he could the eggs but pockets were under the insulation. We had to keep the bathroom door shut and the window open for about 7/10 days until the last of them.

Few screams from the girls everytime they had a shower for a few days. :rotfl:

You haven't got a slightly leaky waste pipe have you TM, I was thinking maybe they appear when the water is running through as they are being pushed out of the drain pipe? Or are breeding where the pipe is leaking, might be some gunky stuff at that point which is maybe why you have not noticed a leak.

I don't know if that really is a possibility. :o

    Honestly don't know:o
All orifices  are now sealed with Sellotape so one step at a time.
I have thought about something rotting under the shower tray but there aren't any smells.

They give me the eebie jeebies:o

Evening all. Bit of a late catch up today. It's DH birthday so we had a bottle of champagne with our lunch (last of a glitchy batch from T some while back) then promptly fell asleep on the sofa :o
Yesterday we made a new flower bed and as the plants looked a bit sparse, put in a couple of bits of wood and old terracotta pots. Very pleased with the result, it looks proper arty :T

Mine were bigger than yours and I had to catch as many as I could in a pint glass, they were quite lazy/dozy when first hatched. Then rush to have my shower before anymore hatched out from where the light fittings should be.

I don't have any lights in my bathroom. :o

Was talking to DD2 on the phone yesterday, telling her we had lights in the new garage now and she said how can you do that before you have even got lights in the bathroom. :rotfl:

Think she is hoping she might be able to come home and have a bath at Christmas. I do have plenty of bubble bath. ;)

But I can see what is going to happen when garage is finished inside, Mr TS will be away for couple of weeks for work and floors will not be sealed so that I can move stuff out of the bathroom into it.

Just had a thought TM, do you reckon something dropped down the plughole when you filled your bath up with glitchy stuff for the calendar pic!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
