    EMMAP congratulations on the job.

rhosynbach - your DS sounds lovely, well done him!

Tried going to Farmfoods this morning, but there were so many roadworks and queues I actually gave up and came home, my bladder couldn't hack it! :rotfl: Was only going there to stock up on Linda McCartney sausages as I am veggie and low carbing, and they are £1 in there. Will check mysupermarket to see if anywhere has them on offer.

So bored at home, my bladder is rubbish and got nothing to focus on (well, I could do housework but I think I'd rather be bored than do that! :D). Very glad to be going back to work next week, even just for a few days.

DS first day at college seemed to go well yesterday, he had a lie in today as didn't start til 12, although he doesn't finish til 5 so will be gone 6 by the time he has got the bus home.

Do you know i said to hubby will be quicker to go kett thn try and get through that lot, going to be all over xmas too and moulton park r/bout:eek::eek::eek:and guildhall, god help us:rotfl::rotfl:

:hello:Three wombles from lunchtime, so not due for checking for a while yet. I went at the wrong time really, but they may be fairly good 'quality' as they bought very few A mbuys across the receipts. The A mbuys they bought might not be too nasty.

But I wish they didn't mix their shops up. First one, a lot of S/P stuff - same price elsewhere so should be - or would have been:( - getting 10% vs T and M, but, for the purposes of the T comp., I'm not liking their buying a number of S/P Spaghettis whose equivalent was quite more expensive at T last time I looked and, for the purposes of the M comp., I'm not liking their £1 'Can't Believe' spread that most probably compares to £1.65 M or their Sunflower Oil that much as, although M has 'everyday price' (their words not mine;)) on quite a few of their Oils, they're still generally more expensive than any price per unit that I look for.

Just a thought - these 'everyday prices - A and M - are not infrequently priced at quite a bit more expensive than offer prices so, while they may be cheaper than even fuller prices, they are more expensive sometimes than offers, so actually end up paying more than you would than if they were on promotion (and, to be frank, that's the ONLY time most of us would buy them or compare to them). I saw one yesterday where the 'everyday price' was nearly twice the cost of a promotion elsewhere. So it's not necessarily saving money to go for what were called 'I'(M) cheaper' items.

Anyway, back to the wombles...second one has an Ale 3 for £5, which may or may not work out too bad, and a Flash product at £1.98, which may well be very good (they didn't get mbuy:j), depending on whether it is one that is on offer elsewhere or whether it's gone back up to full prices everywhere else. Did they buy at the right time? Well, what do you reckon? Rhetorical. Answer is 'Probably not':(.

Third receipt - seems possibly okay, but not liking their £4 Surf - or their £3 Surf. Other Surf - undoubtedly different one - the quite large (but not largest) washing powders is now on offer in M at £5. Which would normally have been okay to quite good - even though best has been £4.54 (yes, exactly that amount:D) - however they are now reduced to 45 washes instead of 50, so don't even get anywhere near the 10p/wash now:(. Avoid.

There are things I need to do this afternoon, so leaving you for a while (maybe) and, oh, I forgot to mention the John Friedas are generally £4 each now in M (good maybe if nowhere else has gone even cheaper - I've not caught up with anywhere else's pricing), if only we knew which specific ones would compare vs M on any occasion. £3.60 straight is of course not good.

Lawrie you're always so good with the tech deals! I'm tempted but think it may be a little too slow in terms of processor speed.

I will investigate though- thank you!

There's quite a few DELL laptops along with their basic laptop on offer today.

Along with the 10% off code, you can get a decent spec laptop for £300.

I am guilty of buying lots of things I don't really need. But I mostly find good homes for them. ;)

Trouble is I usually forget the painkillers Mr TS asked me to get while out shopping. :o And when I get in with carrier bags full he really needs them. :rotfl:

Honestly, it was horrendous. Seemed to be roadworks about halfway London Road that weren't advertised and were backing up to the roundabout. Cut through to Towcester Rd and down to the retail park where B&M etc is as needed to pop in. Just past that roundabout there were more roadworks which seemed quite major, so I gave up then, as would have needed to get through there to get to Farmfoods.

Can imagine nearer Christmas etc will be awful, I will try and remember to stay away!
