Guilty or innocent, punishing people with violence is just wrong and solves absolutely nothing. Some of the things I have read about what people would like to see happen to a child......and that's what he is......are quite honestly frightening.
Ditto FC, I was going to write something similar earlier but thought better of it but you have got it spot on as ever...
Advocating the lynching of a child would make those calling for it as bad as him if not worse."He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Hope its there when I get there :cool:0 -
Just as well there wasn't a lynch mob around baying for your blood then DeeDee!
And of course you're right. People are often mistakenly arrested, charged, even jailed. I just worked on a series that featured three miscarriages of justice. We had to limit it to three but there are so so many out there. Some of them broke my heart to hear.
There are some strong feelings going on. Doesn't mean you're soft on this kind of thing or don't care because you recognise the shades of grey....
 thank god no. Seriously I spent 3 days in cells due to bank holiday weekend. For burglary :rotfl:
I have trouble getting into my own house let alone anyone else's I have no criminal record..
We'll unless I get arrested later for the boxes
I was with people in there car that was seen near the seen of crime.
None of us were charged..
Exactly happens all the time to innocent people.Ignore reality. There's nothing you can do about it.
I have done reading too!

He's been arrested and released on bail. Police wouldn't be allowed to impose bail if there wasn't enough evidence for a good chance of a conviction.
The circumstances are that he was attacked by a dog prior to this. I was attacked and bitten by dogs on 3 separate occasions when I was aged 4, 5 and 10. Two of those resulted in hospital visits. I don't harbour resentment to dogs for it so it's no excuse for what this boy did.
I'm happy to reserve judgement until there's a conviction however. Not that I believe a conviction will equal punishment. It will be a slap on the wrist and a short stay in a youth detention holiday camp, and upon release a transfer for the whole family to a new home with a change of identity, all at the expense of the tax payer
Edit this is the link that says he's been bailed
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/manchester-dogs-home-fire-teenage-arson-suspect-bailed-as-dog-selfie-donations-pass-12-million-9730930.html
That's rubbish, people that are arrested are almost always released on bail. Sometimes with bail conditions, sometimes not. This is because generally the police need more time to make enquiries, or for example, to check out alibis or stories put forward in interview.
I have released numerous people on bail, often for several months (fraud can take a long time to investigate) only for them to be released off bail with no further action after all that time, either because I can't get enough evidence to prove their involvement, or my enquiries have led me to find they actually weren't involved.0 -

You can be on bail & have none nowt wrong... Being on bail means nowt apart from police don't have enough evidence to charge you.
I was once on bail I'd done nothing wrong & wasn't charged .
ooh deedee, you little minx!
I have to admit, it is interesting how strong people hold views in relation to animals and their welfare. This is not a criticism, I wish more people cared strongly about issues within society. I love animals to the level of not eating them for 30 years, but my passion has always been the welfare of humans, especially children. People can be bailed when there is a wealth of evidence, or very little, but he is a child.100
