Lovely. Nice to see people donating their time to help out followimg such an awful crime. :T
I agree Evangeline. It's up to the individual which charity they choose to donate to.
I don't see any difference between an animal or a person in need. Children, the elderly, people with mental health problems are all potentially vulnerable the same as an animal is?
I have spent years volunteering for various animal charities (yes I am one of those annoying people who stand in the supermarket doorway with a collecting bucket!!)
You do very occasionaly get someone who says "You should be raising money for needy children not animals?" when I congratulate them on their compassion for children and politely ask these people what THEY are doing to fund raise themselves, you usually find they are doing absolutely nowt themselves to help any charity!!!
I say good on everyone who is doing anything to help someone who is in need or less fortunate. :T
I really don't care if it is a human or an animal, we sometimes forget we are also animals!!
We all have different situations that pull at our heart strings and I hope we can have enough compassion to help both animals AND people. We don't have to choose. We can care about both.
Big hugs to you Evangeline, I know this terrible incident at Manchester has really traumatised many of us. We imagine our dogs being in that fire and it really is heart breaking. xxx
Well said mutley muppet :T:T:T0 -
