    :o Thank you aau. :A

Think it's time I went to bed.

Have to make it first though. :sighs:
  • My best tip for yorkshires is to put oil in each well in the tin, then put the tray in the oven til the oil heats. (Normally the time it takes to make the batter) and then add the mix. They rise brilliantly then.

The story in verse of how the first Yorkshire Pudding was made...

Hi waitress, excuse me a minute, now listen,
I'm not finding fault, but here, Miss,
The 'taters look gradely... the beef is a'reet,
But what kind of pudding is this?

    It's what?...
Yorkshire pudding!, now coom, coom, coom, coom,
It's what? Yorkshire pudding d'ye say!
It's pudden, I'll grant you... it's some sort of pudden,
But not Yorkshire pudden... nay nay!

The real Yorkshire pudding's a dream in batter,
To make one's an art, not a trade,
Now listen to me, for I'm going to tell thee,
How t' first Yorkshire pudding wor made.

A young angel on furlough from heaven,
    Came flying above Ilkley Moor,
And this angel, poor thing, got cramp in her wing,
And coom down at owd woman's door.

The owd woman smiled and said, 'Ee, it's an angel,
Well I am surprised to see thee,
I've not seen an angel before... but thou 'rt welcome,
I'll make thee a nice cup o' tea.'

The angel said, 'Ee, thank you kindly, I will',
Well, she had two or three cups of tea,
Three or four Sally Lunns, and a couple of buns...
Angels eat very lightly you see.

The owd woman looking at clock said, 'By Gum!
He's due home from mill is my Dan,
You get on wi' ye tea, but you must excuse me,
I must make pudding now for t' owd man.

Then the angel jumped up and said, 'Gimme the bowl...
Flour and watter and eggs, salt an' all,
And I'll show thee how we make puddings in Heaven,
For Peter and Thomas and Paul'.

So t' owd woman gave her the things, and the angel,
Just pushed back her wings and said. 'Hush'
Then she tenderly tickled the mixture wi' t' spoon,
Like an artist would paint with his brush.

Aye, she mixed up that pudding with Heavenly magic,
She played with her spoon on that dough,
Just like Paderewski would play the piano.
Or Kreisler now deceased would twiddle his bow.

And then it wor done and she put it in t' oven
She said t' owd woman, 'Goodbye',
Then she flew away leaving the first Yorkshire pudding,
That ever was made... and that's why...

It melts in the mouth, like the snow in the sunshine,
As light as a maiden's first kiss,
As soft as the fluff on the breast of a dove...
    Not elephant's leather, like this.

It's real Yorkshire pudding that makes Yorkshire lassies,
So buxum and broad in the hips,
It's real Yorkshire pudding that makes Yorkshire cricketers,
    Win County championships.

It's real Yorkshire pudding that gives me my dreams,
Of a real Paradise up above,
Where at the last trump, I'll queue up for a lump,
Of the real Yorkshire pudding I love.

And there on a cloud... far away from the crowd,
In a real Paradise, not a dud 'un,
I'll do nowt for ever... and ever and ever,
But gollup up real Yorkshire pudden.
'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'
    Groucho Marx

Goodnight aau, FC, SD, strewth and Savvy. :)

Anyway, I'd better go as I'm supposed to be up real early:eek: to start off today's very packed day!! Leave it with you to work out the M glitch in my absence okay, and have something all sorted and extremely good when I come back on Wednesday (tonight) night!:) If not also some early-doors price changes, vs elsewhere, which I am probably doomed to miss:rotfl: or possibly ones available still in the evening!

    Thank you and goodnight!:wave::wave:

Really, do not underestimate the importance of the M comps I've posted!! I know I go on and lots of information gets lost sometimes in my posts, but please do not overlook these last ones! Thanks!

I don't think this is confined to Kellogg's Variety packs. And I don't think this is linked with the SP Sparkling Water, which I think is probably a separate glitch*.

    HTH (fwiw:rotfl:).

*Just like the separate soft drinks were glitching half price on their own from the different collection on Wednesday last week. I think they've both repeated a similar thing to that on Sparkling Water on Monday (but not necessarily the earlier soft drinks anymore) and that they have, separately, in the same, current Monday collection done a similar thing on the Variety Packs as they did on Mac Cheese and other items on that Monday in mid-August.

What they did on the two specific own brand soft drinks on Wednesday last week they have now done, instead, on the Sparkling Water on Monday just gone. And what they did on the Mac Cheese, Chicken, Andrex, Yoghurt Pots, specific own brand Crisps, Walls Twisters etc. on Monday mid-August they have done on the Kellogg's Variety Pack and possibly Batchelor's Mac Cheese and, almost certainly, other items on Monday just gone (which is the current collection).

In case it helps - in other words these are not the Chicken Fillets that were bought before, but are the 490g instead:

    Morries comp
2 x Walkers Sensations Crisps - Thai Sweet Chilli (175...£2.00£4.58
    3 x ASDA Butcher's Selection Chicken Breast Fillets (4...£10.00N/A

Hang on - the Walker's Crisps aren't 2 for £4.58 in M! (That is going by individual price of £2.29!) They are probably 2 for £3? [EDIT: No, they are showing as 2 for '1' on msm, hmmm... but, anyway, 2 for £4.58 isn't right!]

No other M mbuys showing on the comp.!
So, Kellogg's Variety packs and Walkers Sensations Crisps - Thai Sweet Chilli look to be implicated in the glitch!
Think you need lower individual prices in mbuys, for M, on same shop. At the moment, these are both shops where the lowest price on affected item* on mbuy in M was the Kellogg's Variety (on one) and the Sensations crisps (on the other). So, inevitably it's doubled that high individual price of the item they got on the shop! (The Variety and the Sensations as applicable.)

*It is not every item on mbuy in M, but only affected ones (hence the Bernard Matthews Dinosaur Roll is not one of the "affected" items).

Just been reading about all you various adventures by coach.
I have been to Holland, Spain and Austria by coach, but by far the furthest was to Russia on a 3 week holiday.
A long time ago now, didn't even have a toilet, drinks, video or sat nav on coach.
We were supposed to go to Kiev, Odessa and Moscow, but ran out of time due to a lot of getting lost, so Moscow had to be missed out.
