I've also spotted a couple,Ecover you need to register and it closes at the end of the month.
http://www.the-splash.co.uk/offers-and-competitions/ecotricity-2014
The prize is £550 of Ecotricity credit - you have to switch but you have up to 12 months to do this if you are tied into a fixed price contract.
This is supposed to be a years supply - I use double that!
Also if you are busy trying to think of sandwiches for the Tesco orchard campaign make some with Jarlsberg cheese so you can do two things with one effort. Have a look at the Jarlsberg website, they have a monthly sandwich design competition - upload a photo and describe your creation.
Prize is a selection of jarlsberg products including a wheel of cheese :T

Someone asked earlier about sopost? It's a Facebook app that allows you to send and receive gifts amongst your Facebook friends. Hth.
How does one go about using this? I've looked at their FB page but the one I found hasn't been updated since last year, and their website seemed to be trying to get businesses in, rather than people.0 -

It's not been a bad day today
I found a fiver on my way to work and then got to work to find out that my team has been nominated for an award :j if nothing else, it's a good excuse for a night out
I even managed to arrange an appointment with my gp to get my wrist looked at. It was getting better and I had hoped it would continue to do so, but the last few days have been quite painful so I'm finally getting it looked at
And I'm off work tomorrow :j :j :jI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. afternoon all hope everyone is well, x been at dd1 new house today helping her plan the kitchen and did some painting,Corn fritters look lovely. These look gorgeous - how do you make your pizza bases?
I am thinking of making bases to freeze, make them in cake sandwich tin sized - cooked or uncooked?
These have got to be healthier and tastier than mass produced frozen pizza
Then I have a pizza stone or the sandwich tins again - they should cook very quickly even straight from frozen- always have suitable things to go on the top.
Also I've got green pesto, could I put little blobs of this on top as well?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I am definitely in no rush to venture back out into the big wide world of employment.
Wish I had your cooking skills though rhos, I reckon if I could produce a feast like you I would never have to work again.
thanksbut i am a simple cook really dont do anything complicated, luckily everyone here likes simple food.;) there are things i cant do. pastry, and yorkshire puddings have to be shop brought as they always go wrong:o:o presentation is not one of my strong points either, :rotfl:

On one of ours there is a lady selling a 'slow cooker' with a picture of a casserole dish.
Yes, I must admit I struggle with text speak.
On the subject of buying and selling. DS1 bought a new wetsuit from eBay at the weekend. It was local to us so he arranged to pick it up. After he'd bought it, he looked at the sellers other items. It was mostly very skimpy ladies clothing. Unfortunately it was being modelled by an obviously older live model with rather generous false assets ....the skimpy clothing left nothing to the imagination. We presumed it was the seller who was modelling the clothes?..........he was too scared to go and pick the wetsuit up and I had to go :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
When I got there an elderly gent answered and gave me the wetsuit. The 'seller' was his wife. The mind boggles  :rotfl::rotfl:
........wonder which one of them bought the wetsuit?  :rotfl:0 -

He has had extra help at school and home for the last 2 years, as is really struggling, he has just started at high school, for the last few years at primary he was falling way behind, didnt help with the teacher had, luckily she got the sack as had been marking a lot of childrens work as correct and was actually wrong, so he had been falling behind quite a lot and it had not been noticed at school for a long time.
Everytime he bought homework home, it used to take him so long to do it and the arguments that we had over it was awful. The poor thing was struggling that much that he couldnt ask for help as thought he would get into trouble.
We have had alsorts of tests done and his current maths level is age 6 and 7 months. So was not happy last night when he came home with homework with the kind of questions like:-
find all the prime numbers to 20
all the factors of 24
and the square routes.
The poor lad had no idea on where to start, as not covered these at primary with how far behind he is, he has had to go back to basic sums and number lines.
Now awaiting on reply from his teacher, as I have been up to the school before he finished primary to make sure that everything would be in place for him to have the extra help and the right work sent home, as I dont want him struggling any more than he has had to, and certainly dont want him to start hating maths lessons again, as its taken a lot of time and energy with his extra tutor to start enjoying it.
Sorry for the rant.
I hope you get this sorted for you DSes sake, I'm going through the same with DS only his problem is English.
Year 8 teacher was great and used things to actively encourage him.
year 9 was new to teaching and quite strict but didn't look at the support kids needed just the grade they achieved and expected him to keep up. She made him feel stupid because he couldn't do the workhis grade slipped from a B in year 8 to an E in year 9.
We will find out what the English teacher is like tomorrow, I'm really hoping she's nice and supports those that need it.
DS is very annoyed as they've split the top two classes into 2 groups for English and maths, no notice of this eventhough they know he needs time to get used to changes  I have been listening to how unfair it is that they've done this to him and how he's now 'in with the dumb dumbs!' (His words not mine).
He's always been in the top class and feels that others should have been put into group 2 instead of him. I've given up with trying to explain to him that it might just be because of his English score but I'm totally wrong, according to him the teacher just has it in for him and wants to make a fool out of him.
It feels like we're going backwards again and I don't want him to have to go through that again.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
